The Royal Sonesta San Juan
8/10 Good
"Beds were really comfy, room overall clean and tidy. Clear areas of wear and tear in the bathroom.
Outdoor pool smallish but beach and sea are very close by. There were quite alot of sunbeds which was great to see. Staff also check if your a guest or not leaving/entering the hotel which is good.
Staff are clearly the biggest asset to this hotel. Everyone was professional, courteous and would go above and beyond.
Word of warning. The Italian restaurant IS NOT attached to the hotel. You cannot charge things to your room or use any credit that you have with the hotel here. This csused an issue for some guests when we were dining there as they had been inder the impression they could charge to their room. We would have attempted the same had we not been told the issue.
There are a few restaurants, Karaya(?) is the main one within the lobby, however the srt up is a tad strange as it is like dining within the main thorououghfare of the hotel. Many people would get food delivered and take it to their room, if your on a budget this would probably be your best option as we found the hotel to be quite expensive overall for dining.
There is a small coffee and wine bar that does takeaway coffee/sandwhiches/cake/bottles of wine. Please note there are no prices displayed which caught us out. 2 icecreams, a bottle of wine and a bottle of gatorade totalling $72. There is a convenience store and a supermarket across the road, dont get caught out like we did!"

Costa Bahia Hotel Paseo Caribe
2/10 Terrible
"Property was very dated, the carpet in the bedroom was smelly and disgusting. The lobby of the hotel looks like the reception of a Hospital. No kitchen items, not even a bottle opener or glasses in our bedroom. The staff was very friendly however. The view and location are nice. The place was quiet and beds were ok except that it wasn’t clean. "

Coral by the Sea Hotel
8/10 Good
"Rooms clean some staff was nice one lady was real rude and cranky"

San Juan Airport Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"The guy in the front desk seem bothered when i walked up to check in, because I interrupted his Nintendo switch playing time or whatever handheld game device he was playing.
The second floor smelled horrible, like sewage.
The room looked like a small jail cell.
I expected better for $230 per night!!!"

Residence Inn by Marriott San Juan Isla Verde
10/10 Excellent
"Thanks to the Residence Inn front desk staff for a wonderful service. I got upgraded to a suite. Breakfast had a variety of options both hot and cold food. Would highly recommend the hotel! Great location, short walk to beach. Hotel provides beach chairs and umbrella. Pool was clean and refreshing. "

Caribe Hilton
10/10 Excellent
"I loved staying at this hotel paying extra for the best beach view from one of the highest floors. Staff was very welcoming and took care of me and my partner right away. They had plenty of pools including a kiddie pool, adults bar and a hot tub. CONS: No free breakfast or meals it is considered extra. The room was pretty clean except for their towels.... check the TOWELS! it was dirty and had a pubic hair from previous guest. Which means they don't change fresh towels. CONS: PAID EXTRA MONEY WHEN ARRIVED AT HOTEL I HAD TO PAY OVER $200 DOLLARS EXTRA FOR EXTRA FEES I WASN'T AWARE OR CHARGED HERE AT EXPEDIA. 4/5 HOTEL!"

Embassy Suites by Hilton San Juan Hotel & Casino
10/10 Excellent
"Great"

Embassy Suites by Hilton Dorado del Mar Beach Resort
8/10 Good
"smelled like a humid mop in the room, breakfast not that good even though it was buffet and had different options"

Aquarius Vacation Club at Dorado del Mar
4/10 Poor
"Most of the front desk staff were not welcoming.
The room had a leaky faucet that dripped making a loud noise that kept us up at night, phone did not work, one side of the room didn’t have power and the toilet had little to no pressure. We were never offered another room when we presented these issues to the front desk. The blankets were paper thin and whenever we requested an additional one they took it back when housekeeping. The pool and beach area was decent, but you had to pick up and drop off your beach towels at the front main desk. To access the beach, a key card was needed to access it but it was super inconvenient because you needed the key card to exit it. How can you swim with a key card. It felt like entrapment. "
