"Just left from an amazing stay as Casa Penhas. An absolute treasure away from the city with majestic views of the mountains. We went on a guided hike, used their heated indoor pool and had a couple massage - all extremely well done and with the utmost customer service. Food was also delicious and plenty. They served an abundant buffet breakfast, snacks after our hike, and a top-notch dinner. If you’re looking for rest and relaxation with amazing views, this hotel is for you."

"Das Hotel befindet sich in traumhafter Lage mitten in den Bergen an einer Paßstrasse. Das Personal ist gemischt von sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit bis hin zu eher widerwillig. Sehr gute Verständigung in englischer Sprache möglich. Man kann das Hotel durchaus empfehlen, man darf aber nicht die höchsten Ansprüche haben. Preis/Leistung stehen aber in einem angemessenen Verhältnis."

"The property has stunning views and spacious rooms but lack little things like tissue or a waste basket. Our room wasn’t as clean as I expected with random hair in the bathroom. The bathroom had glass walls which is ok but a door for toilet privacy would be appreciated. The shower floor wasn’t tile but linoleum that gave way as you stepped on in. There is a restaurant and bar. Food was tasty. Did not use the pool or spa. "
