"A beautifully clean and welcoming hotel on the beach in Croyde. It’s safe, fantastic amenities and there is something for everyone. The staff are extremely polite, knowledgeable and friendly. It’s hard to find accommodation these days where there is nothing to fault - Outstanding! A perfect little get away."

"2 out of 3 lights in the bathroom didn't work, did mention it to reception who said they'd get it sorted. Wasn't aware there was a private function on in the evening when we'd checked in, went to go into the bar for a drink, to see it was closed for a private function. Disabled bay, my partner, struggled to get out of the car, due to lack of space with the disabled parking bay, it was the size of a normal packing pay. If we had known, I would of drove up and stopped out front then parked in...

"We stayed six nights and enjoyed it immensely. There is a real homely feeling to the hotel. There were a few niggles but you get them wherever you go. The staff were polite, friendly and most attentive. The bar and restaurant were more than satisfactory and the heated outdoor pool was a brilliant addition. We will definitely be going back especially since my partners friend is residing in Bideford now and we will happily reserve a room at Durant House Hotel whenever we visit."

"plenty of parking, room was very smart and clean furniture was lovely, iron and iron board was on the landing out side if needed and a room fan... extra teas and coffees. breakfast was good. except mushroom had been cooked with herbs and tomatoes could been cooked long. other than that all good throughout"

"Check in was easy, friendly staff, room decor was lovely, clean bedding. Parking was perfect and surroundings are beautiful. Had a beautiful breakfast too. Only negative was quite a few wood louse running round the bathroom, kept slippers on but may put you off if squeamish."
