"Friendly and a great breakfast"

"Everything was great We came to get our daughter moved in at Mara Hill. We brought one cat as well. The staff was great. The hotel room was very clean. Breakfast was great. The staff went above and beyond to help. We will be frequent stayers while our daughter is at Mars Hill. Id recommend the hotel!! The staff deserves a raise."

"First, I want to say the hosts were very kind and welcoming—that part of the stay was genuinely appreciated. However, the listing is quite misleading when it comes to amenities. There is no spa or hot springs, and there is no on-site restaurant or bar as suggested. The property itself feels more like a converted family home that has been turned into a bed-and-breakfast, with former kids bedrooms now rented out individually. "This is a truly unique hotel. It was beautifully, renovated, spacious, super clean, and very convenient for exploring Marshall. The restaurant was good, and it was very relaxing sitting on the deck and listening to the river. The unit was nicely equipped. The only difficulty we had was getting a hold of anyone for questions when we arrived. The phone number in the binder did not answer our call nor reply to text message. I did see a very helpful employee cleaning the next day who answered...

"I had no real problem with the property and what it had for me. The loft area for sleeping is not made for tall people like myself, so it could get a little tight changing clothes, etc. Not a big deal. Where I have issue is the long-term residents below my space. We are asked to be considerate about noise after 10:00 pm. While I have not problem doing that, I would expect the same in return. They were noisy at various times during the day and night. Doors slamming and arguments happening...
