St Brelades Bay Hotel

"We had the best time here - the location is unparalled, the communal spaces are huge and very comfortable, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was great. Far and away the best thing for me was the access to the Health Club - the classes were excellent, the gym is amazing (treadmill overlooking the beach!), the indoor pool a great size for laps. The outdoor swimming pool and gardens were sensational too. (We had five days of great weather). The hotel restaurant was very good (we ate there one night) - our favourite was Jersey Crab Shack (fresh whole crab, or half a lobster) and Oyster Box was also great (both just in front of the hotel) Re the hotel: I had booked the last room available (56) so when we arrived and it was small with a view over the kitchens I was not surprised. But I did hope for a better bathroom - no separate shower (even though I do love a bath), and the washbasin was tiny with no shelf space at all. I happened to mention this, not really as a complaint, just an observation, to one of the people at the desk. My husband did too. We were offered a free upgrade for our last two nights to 108 (Portelet Suite) - well, we finished our stay in the height of luxury with two balconies and a great view over the beach. We were so grateful. We never go back to the same place twice but we will definitely come back here. Thank you to all for making it a great stay"

"Lovely hotel with a relaxed atmosphere, right on the beach! Sea View room with a balcony is the best, what a fabulous scene to look out on every morning.Food in the restaurant is delicious."

"Had a fantastic 5 days stay at the Westhill. All of the staff were so friendly & efficient in their jobs. The only thing I would say about the hotel was the pool wasn’t heated as it said it would be in the hotel amenities"

"Its position and outlook, directly out to the sea, was excellent as was the attention of the staff. My single room was a little bit small, but adequate for my needs, however, the lack of a bedside table was inconvenient, there was too few coat hangers in the small wardrobe and there was no heating in the ensuite bathroom, because the towel rack only operated when the heating was on, not ideal. But, the manager did arrange a for a separate heater to be left in my room which was fine. I feel the meals could have been a bit more adventurous, especially for vegetarians. Overall, its a very pleasant hotel, with very good attentive staff and I would use it again .."
