"Beautiful lagoon-front self-contained hotel, room was spotless, staff the most courteous and helpful I’ve ever met. Lagoon tour (arranged by front desk) was peaceful, full of birds, Captain Rohan a fantastic guide to birds and wildlife. Transportation to Negombo is via tuktuk, driver Asim polite and exceptionally kind (provided tour of Negombo and a short errand for salt and Type G adapter for my travels, Amagi Aria has universal outlets but the rest of Sri Lanka has Type G). "This hotel is disgusting. We checked in really late because of a delayed flight and are grateful to the staff who came to check us in at 2am. However, the room itself was the worst room I have ever stayed in. The floor was so filthy that my children's feet were pitch black in a matter of minutes. the pillows and towels were both dirty, the bed sheets smelled musty, the fridge wasn't working, the bathroom was also filthy. there were stains everywhere- it was disgusting. I would never stay here...

"Gamini (the owner) was so friendly and helpful with every need. He answered any question and did much more than you can expect from a hotel service. The staff in general was super friendly and polite and the food was great. Probably the best food in town! A quick ride to the surfkite Lagoon and right next to the bus station. Great experience and i would totally recommend this place! "
