"The Lodge is not for everyone as it has the quirkiness of anything that is old. Floors are uneven, doors don't always fit, lighting is terrible for reading, ( bring your own reading light ) there is no AC or an elevator, yet we love this place and return once a year. Surprisingly, since there are only two places to eat in the village, a pizza place and the Lodge, one would guess that the Lodge could get away with mediocre food, but that is not the case. "The lodge exceeded my expectations! For an off season visit in September, it was quiet , comfortable, the rooms are cozy and welcoming, well stocked with everything you need. The views are amazing and the location is short walk to town . They offer free shuttle to the town just steps away from the hotel . The breakfast was just enough . The staff is extremely helpful and polite, and knowledgeable of the area . Would definitely be coming back ! "
