"The staff was superb. Nora, at the front desk, is bilingual and was simply outstanding. She was so helpful and friendly with solving any problem. Omar, the tour guide was one of the best that I have had in any country. Very knowledgeable the such a nice person. Nordati at the front desk is excellent too. Ayarti at the breakfast area is very nice too. The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was superb. The people working in the restaurant are very good too. The guy that closes the gym on Wednesday night is very helpful. There is a great view of the ocean and sunset from the property. There are many nice areas where you can sit outside and relax. The guys who do the landscaping and yard are very good, the property looks perfect. There is an artist who sells her beautiful paintings in the lobby. The staff at this hotel are excellent "
"The place is well kept and the staff are friendly, the ground man took me for a drive to help me locate all local amenities on the first day, which I thought was kind.
The rooms are as per image, come with an air conditioner, kettle and a mini bar fridge too. The breakfast is nice addition too, but the time expectation from a guest to have breakfast between 7am and 9am is an unrealistic expectation considering that most mornings there is lights and water issue… the longest it lasted for was 3 hours during my stay.
The beach is close 5 min walk, and it is reasonably clean… Comoros is a not a clean country in general litter everywhere.
Comoros has an electricity problem in general. So lights don’t stay on for more than 2 hours, the place is equipped with an industrial generator. So it takes about 20 mins for it to get up and running. I don’t think the staff are always aware when the lights go off, so sometimes you have to nudge them about it.
Further recommendations for the owners;
- add do not disturb signage in rooms
- Have a letter/ note in room that explains the electrical and water challenges so guests are aware
- Coffee condiments in room, given there is already a kettle
- under the bed must also be cleaned lots of dust
- Additional plug points in room, only had one
- The staff need to work better on communicating with guests when there is a problem, this is not a language barrier constraint
