"Cool concept. Their goal is to make it feel like you have the property to yourself (small number of villas, off the beaten path), and they achieved that goal (at least for our two night stay). Spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Howler monkeys live in their part of the forest, and howl in the morning and evening. Solid restaurant. Friendly personalities. "The Drake Bay Getaway was an unexpected delight! Views from the room were exquisite, as each villa is perched on a hillside with an ocean view. The manager was extremely helpful and spent time explaining about the surrounding area and animal life. We felt as if we were staying with family! Meals were beautifully prepared, offering a sampling of the local food. The location was great too, allowing for quiet relaxation, yet still convenient for activities."

"Nice small hotel. We had a little issue checking in but it was resolved quickly. The bar took cash the first night but not the second, not a big deal but inconvenient. Special shout out to Caroline and Mary who wonderful with recommendations on beaches and restaurants. The rest of the staff was very friendly. We will stay there again."

"We stayed for 5 nights at the hotel. The hotel has the most beautiful view of the ocean. The restaurant was great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The swimming pool was beautiful. We saw all kinds of birds and animals in the ground of the hotel. Highly recommend for anyone staying around the Uvita area with a car."

"The view was amazing and staff were very friendly. I did not realize that the rooms did not have A/C, so things were hot the first night (reception closed at 8:00), but they were able to get me another fan the second night l, which made things better. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay which included access to a local swimming hole which was very refreshing. The restaurant was the most expensive meal we had in Costa Rica and to be honest, the food was not bad, but not good. Definitely...
