"Clean room, comfortable bed, and very accommodating. We stay here any time we are in Ames."

"Was given 4 different rooms. 1st was occupied by others. 2nd had not been cleaned. 3rd had dirty sheets and humidity was at 90% which caused wet sheets. 4th tv was not working properly and door lock was starting to come loose. We picked this hotel because we have stayed at other AmericInn and we’re happy with them. This experience was very disappointing. I would not recommend."

"Room was clean & very nice. They had a welcome message on a card & my name up on the TV! Was so sweet and personable! Staff were incredibly kind. The whole place was clean, no weird smells, & the rooms are surprisingly soundproof. Didn’t hear any of the birthday parties going on near us actually! The room was comfortable and cool. The whole place had AC so thankfully it was a relief getting out of the heat when we were checking in. Breakfast was a nice selection & great quality."

"Hotel was safe for kids easy parking with ramp, pool, hot tub, books in lobby for kids, good free breakfast options, staff members very kind and multi task to make your stay great. Nice outdoor porch to sit and relax, pricing not over the top easy drive to university of Iowa, all kinds of food and needed stops working one or two miles away, 40mins from Drake stadium or adventure land. "Check in was quick and easy. The front desk worker was welcoming and friendly. The place was nice and our room seemed to be fairly newly painted. Our toilet paper dispenser was missing the metal tube to put the toilet paper roll on. We were going to let the front desk know as we left, but no one was there. "The bedding was soaking wet and smelled terrible. We requested a change, but the replacement bedding was also wet. Before 7 a.m., someone was running and jumping for over 20 minutes. We asked the front desk to address the noise, but they were not helpful until we asked again. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place."

"I do not recommend this property. Firstly, the first morning after I checked in the guy who was working was very rude because he was tired from working all night long. I had to ask for toilet paper and paper towels on multiple occasions because they did not have daily housekeeping. After the third day we had to change rooms because the refrigerator door wouldn’t stay closed and spoiled all of our food, and the AC in the room wouldn’t cool the room. "Room was clean. Bath towels are so old/used they literally leave small bits of cotton in my hair. Toilet paper roller was broken, easy to see by room cleaning service and not repaired. Told front staff about this upon leaving. The air conditioner works but even when setting thermostat at 70 degrees it keeps cooling down to 66 degrees. Bed was great; furniture nice also; kitchen well equipped. Actually below average despite my 3 star rating."
