Derby Mickleover Hotel, BW Signature Collection
10/10 Excellent
"A great getaway hotel with plenty to do and Derby and the Peak District in easy reach. Pros: The Suite with the Balcony was a lovely spacious room, comfortable enormous bed, all the facilities you'd want and a very large bathroom. We made good use of the pool and gym and both a very well maintained and enjoyable. The hotel atrium is such an inviting space with bar and restaurant both lovely and easy to find. Parking is great too, and again access to the main road is close but you still feel firmly out in the countryside. Cons: the Air Con was a little baffling and just wouldn't come on the whole time we were there. The room itself is a bit dated, but that's kind of charming in it's own way."

Radisson Blu Hotel East Midlands Airport
10/10 Excellent
"Very nice"

The Littleover Lodge Hotel
8/10 Good
"The room was clean, good size with everything you need. Dog friendly rooms. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Restaurant was excellent with good food, reasonably priced so we had breakfast, lunch and an evening meal there. Very popular but still really quiet at night. Definitely stay again. Being really picky, there was some superficial updates needed. The TV was basic and small. No plug sockets by the bed. Personally I did not like having my towels folded up and placed back in the bathroom. I may not want to share towels. Having said that the stay was great. We stayed in a dog friendly room so ideal. Hopefully will be able to return soon"

Cathedral Quarter Hotel - Derby
8/10 Good
"We really enjoyed staying here. The inside of the building is beautiful, and our bed was very comfortable. Staff are very nice and helpful. It was hot when we stayed and the bedroom air con functioned, but not brilliantly."

The Stuart Hotel Derby, Derby City Centre, Sure Collection by Best Western
8/10 Good
"I've stayed at this hotel before, and it was a good value once again. My room was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfortable, making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The room's atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, which I appreciated after a long day. The only small issue was that YouTube on the TV was set to Polish, but that wasn't a big problem for me since I know how to use the platform. The key card was a bit tricky to use in the hallway, but the staff helped me sort it out. Breakfast was okay, though the sausages and a temperature probe left in the meat platter weren't as appealing as the other options. The location is great if you want to be in the centre of Derby. It's just a short walk from the train station and only a few minutes to Derbion for shopping or food. Despite being so central, I found the area around the hotel surprisingly quiet at night, thanks to the car park near a Tesco Express, which made it easy to get a restful sleep."
