Great value for the purchase. We prolonged our stay. Nice big room with a view over Darjeeling and Kangchendzonga. The cleaning and roomservice is efficient. The reception is efficient too and very kind with advices. Thanks to Priyanka.

Convenient hotel in Darjeeling

Okay hotel, rooms are quite spacious, some with good views of the mountains in the distance. Quite close to the centre of Darjeeling on a busy road (to be fair all roads are busy there). The room we were in was a bit damp, this side of the hotel doesn't get sunlight at this time of year (December) so in this season it remains quite humid and therefore cold (there are enough blankets that you can sleep comfortably though) throughout the night and the day. Staff was nice but also sometimes too present, we got multiple calls in the room in the evenings to tell us that dinner was ready at the restaurant, even though we hadn't booked the restaurant or mentioned any plans to have dinner there.

Classy, clean, and charming

Absolutely loved our stay at Summit Hermon from start to finish. We were greeted upon arrival with warm smiles and fresh cups of the city's famous tea. It was the first time I've arrived at a hotel and found it to be even better than it was pictured online. The room was spacious and beautiful, with tastefully charming decor and breathtaking views of the mountains from the balcony. The food and room service was another delightful surprise, with high-quality fresh ingredients The included breakfast was enough to keep us going until dinner, and we enjoyed all of the coffee, snacks, and small meals we ordered off the room service menu throughout our stay. Truly, the food was so good and reasonably priced that we were reluctant to bother dining out. Overall, the hotel was an excellent value that more than met our expectations.

We were overall very pleased with the different Summit hotels we stayed in. The rooms were very nicely decorated and breakfast was quite delicious and inexpensive. Our only disappointment was that we needed a taxi and couldn’t get ahold of the lady who organizes taxis. I wish they could have given us direct numbers of taxi numbers to call ourselves.

Beautiful views and the kindest staff

The rooms are spacious and clean, we stayed in the club room. We only stayed in Darjeeling for 2 nights but our experience was phenomenal, from the view to the food to the friendly staff. When you open your window, you have a clear, undisturbed view of Kanchenjunga mountain. The hotel is located quite central to the markets and monasteries as well as eating places, like Subway. Their in-room dining is also very tasty and well worth the money. On arrival, the staff are very friendly and offer you this amazing cup of tea (perfect for the cold weather) They took all the care to ensure that we were looked after during the entire stay, checking if we needed supper or if we had breakfast. I left one of my valuables at the hotel on check out and they were honest enough to contact me and then even went out of their way to courier it to me. The staff are truly special and they make the stay well worth it.
