We had an amazing stay at ging tea house
It is a rare gem hidden in the mountains with breathtaking views. The property manager Mr.
Andrew made sure our stay was memorable. He helped us with the directions. He and his team work day and night to make sure we have tasty food for breakfast lunch and dinner and making nice dargeeling tea for us.
The property is located in the mountains with lots of greenery and small hikes to explore the tea plantations. Will definitely visit here again.
Pricey. But nothing can beat this surreal experience of a cottage in the clouds. The staff are superb. Please don’t forget to tip the staff generously since they don’t make a lot.
An outstanding property in a tea plantation. The main house is full of furniture from days gone by, including nice library. The staff are very incredible. We went at a time when the night temperatures got cold. Not a problem. We ate by a roaring fire, slept of beds made toasty and warm by electric blankets, and were taken for an incredibly hike through the villages with the tea garden as well as through the garden itself. Spectacular!
This property was quiet, clean, and had amazing views. We had a peaceful quality time at the property. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Whenever we will come back to Darjaleen this will be our home.
Absolutely amazing! The views from the property of the surrounding mountains and tea gaedens was breathtaking. The staff was attentive and provided a feeling of being home away from home, but 100x better. Its the staff and the views thats made this a memorable experience. We were served home made meals all day. Additionally, the property provided all the transportation to and from the airport and sight seeing. We definitely want to go back.
We had a brief stay but one of the finest we have had going around the world. Fab location amidst the tea gardens and mountains, superbly maintained colonial bunglow and peace-serenity was out of the world. Lastly, the hospitality and service of Andrew and the staff was awesome. One suggestion was about the food..would have loved to have some more non-veg options and especially for children (need non-spicy options). Neverthless, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to come back again in the future. Thank you.
Simply excellent! Best part of our Darjeeling trip: the tea garden is beautiful and tranquil, the opposite of the busy traffic in town. Food is excellent (and all included in the room rate)! Staff are very helpful and friendly. I also saw magnificent sunrise right in the front lawn! No need to get up early to go to crowded tiger hill. True colonial experience with superbly restored bungalow and period décor with modern touch. The tea tasting trip included in the room rate is also relaxing and educational. Living in the vast tea estate just brings you back in history, and connects your senses with nature. So glad we spent two days here! Highly recommend!
Mild Indian foods are good for Japanese also. Better to sell their own tea. Trip in beautiful tea garden was fantastic.

A shame
Lovely staff. Wonderful views of the weather is good ( but it was misty all the time and we couldn’t see more than 100 yards). Facilities slightly limited and it was cold (no overall heating). Sat at dinner with costs on to keep warm. Overall disappointing but no criticism of staff.
