You can walk bare feet from your room to the beach. Not a 5 star as rated by Expedia. May be 4 Star. Nice room spacious and clean. Did not get hot water in the shower during my stay. Definitely not a 5 star hotel
Overall, this resort is amazing. However, the food and drink prices were a little more than I had expected. Great service. Beautiful views. Not a comfortable bed, but worth the price.

Nice place for a very short stay
Very nice and helpfull staff.
Location far from every thing and it is not recommanded to leave the hotel especially at night. If you seak only beach and pool it may suit you. Still the beach is dirty yet there ia a little and very beautiful island in front of the hotel and local fisherman will take you there for cheap. Gym center is a kind of joke (almost nothing inside). If you go outside use the local way of transport "badgage". Cheap and faster than taxis. If you have choice don t go to dar es salaam. It s not a beautiful place at all, dirty, not so safe, you are only a wallet on legs for population and nothing else. Most important when you get a price you must negociate because they will never sell you at a fair price, never!
We were with my wife on honeymoon and we totally regret our choice to came in tanzania and zanzibar. Think twice before choosing that destination.
Nice rooms, nice views, friendly staff. Noticed a mouse in the room and the staff immediately responded well and gave me an additional room to sleep in for the night.

Interesting facility, very few guests while we were there. Long expensive taxi ride from DAR. Great breakfast included.
A good clean hotel convenient for other hotels. Clean beach and pool make relaxation easy at the hotel. A bit far from town and other amenities but makes for a restful few days if relaxing is what you want to do,
Stunning location. Had a wonderful stay. Good food
We had an excellent stay at Ledger Plaza. The view is amazing from the bedroom. The staff were very pleasant. The pool services and food was good. Clean environment

lovely setting
nice setting, and well designed room but poorly maintained, broken shower tray, shower door off hinges and shower head fell off! Also charged $50 a night extra for childs roll out, which was very basic and had no mosquito net.
We had a wonderful stay of two adults and two children in one room. The staff was very helpful in explaining how to turn on the water heater and work the hot tub in the room. We found it very clean - and no mosquitoes in the room. We relaxed in the room, relaxed on the beach just outside our door, splashed in the large pool, romped around the tennis court (just ask at the desk to borrow rackets and balls), and ventured into Dar from our hotel room. The breakfast was more than we expected - perhaps the best watermelon juice we have had. Lots of choices at breakfast from traditional cuisine to breakfast cereals to eggs made to order, etc. The towels at the pool in the room were soft and large. The shower was hot and good pressure. Staff was very friendly. We particularly enjoyed how cheesy and tasty of the cheese pizza. We found other food prices high, but there are other options around the hotel. We got a real deal on the room, and could not have been happier with the location, facilities or service. Thank you for a great relaxing and family fun weekend!

Hotel let down by staff
This could be a fairly nice hotel, but is let down significantly by a lot of things. In particular, the restaurant staff are extremely inattentive to guests. The housekeeping staff are also very slow in tidying up rooms during the day - on the days I stayed my room was not tidied until 3pm one day, 4pm the next! There are other hotels in Dar with a much better level of service. Very disappointing!
Very nice and a beautiful placed hotel... But very noisy from music and speeches from big outdoor loudspeakers the whole day caused by day party / outdoor conferences...

Fairly inconsistent.
It was ok...however, I was not pleased with the light that went off for 2 hours without notification to the customer. Also, one hotel.com website, the room I booked for was to take 2 sleeps, but when I reached there, I was told it was for single. I still feel I was cheated to have paid more again for double. Also, when I had breakfast the next day with my friend, when leaving the restaurant, a staff followed me to say my friend had not paid for his meal...I was shocked and embarrassed..I said, 'I paid for double accommodation..what's wrong with you guys?'.
When I was about to check out, I was told I made phone calls and I was to be charged..I asked 'so calling the reception with the phone, I would be charged for it?', then the reception desk staff said 'don't worry'...I feel the hotel focuses on how to rip off clients the best they can, amidst their fairly good service.
