Berry Hill Resort is a gorgeous, top-notch historical site with all the amenities and comforts needed for a restful vacation, wedding or anniversary celebration, family reunion and any other occasion. The resort is pet-friendly and guest-focused. Breakfast is nicely done with delicious hot foods, muffins and pastries, fruit, oatmeal, juices and delicious coffee. The staff members are very pleasant, helpful and well-trained in the fine art of hospitality and service. The guest rooms are elegantly furnished in period decor, the bed comfortable and the room, bath and coffee areas are spacious. We stay at Berry Hill Resort several times a year and are always pleased with our visits.

Neat property! We want to return and spend more time checking out the historical places on the property. We stayed because we live out of town, but work near the resort. It was great that everything was at the property, and after a long day, we were just able to relax! The Tavern was great! Food was good and service was impeccable!

This property is very historic and off the beaten path. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle this is the place. Super quiet almost eerily so. Parking was a chore. Breakfast/brunch was very convenient. Would go back but with a better idea of what is offered.

Very nice resort

This was just a one night stay for a business trip. The hotel had very nice character and felt like something out of a movie. I wish I had time for the spa but did not.

Recommended with caveats

This is a really beautiful, casual resort in a rural area of Virginia. The historical aspects and grounds seem well maintained. The rooms and bathrooms are large and clean. The fixtures do show some wear and age, though. And the included breakfast really is subpar, especially since this resort touts itself as luxury. Even given that, I would highly recommend this place.
