"My friends and I stayed overnight during our road trip. We chose the hotel because it was along our route and had ample parking available. We were expecting a comfortable stay, good hospitality, quiet surroundings, easy parking… and that is EXACTLY what we got. Zero complaints and would happily book again if in the area."

"A mix of old and new - breakfast room / restaurant is gorgeous. Secure key card entry to rooms/lifts which is always great."

"Very nice room, good selection and quality of food for breakfast and lunch."

"The room was lovely but the sink in the en-suite was tiny & hard to get a wash or clean your teeth in without getting water everywhere. The front of the sink unit was already water damaged. The shower was good & easy to use. The lady who greeted us was very helpful & friendly especially as we forgot to take our key out with us & had to ask her to let us in to our room. Nothing seemed like too much trouble for her. There was a good choice for breakfast which was cooked to order"

"The property and staff were exceptional breakfast was amazing"

"Great stay. Derek and Rena were lovely hosts. Breakfast was great. Overall a very nice stay indeed."

"Lovely old house, the bedrooms were warm and cosy and the breakfast was exceptional"

"A great location with Lovely staff:)"

"We are here for a real quick stop. Easy location on and off the highway."

"We had a fantastic stay at The Old Rectory. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The bed was the most comfortable we had in a 3 week tour of the UK! The host, Dave was lovely. So helpful in recommending local sights, and made a wonderful breakfast and coffee in the morning. The location was fantastic as well, Easy to walk to the High Street, beautiful bridge and walking trails, Annan museum, and restaurants etc. Thank you!"

"very helpful staff , good prices."

"You get such a warm welcome from the owner, she makes you feel so at home straight away. The rooms we had were so clean and ideal for our stay. The rooms were warm and so quiet. The breakfast was so nicely cooked and tasty. This is a must stop if staying in this locality"

"Unfortunately another disappointing night at the Inn. Went for a meal, again staffing issues with chefs resulting in quite a few things not being available. I thought there was a wedding function going on as every now and then loud music would blast through the restaurant area but it was just the music coming from the kitchen area as the doors swung open and closed. Sadly in need of a makeover."

"Clean spacious room and bathroom, comfy bed, expected noise from the service station but there was none. Will stay again"

"Enjoyed my stay and very welcoming would definitely stay there again"
