Everything in one place

Excellent service, great restaurant for dinner/breakfast located on site. Conveniently located just on the outskirts of Gore. Room was noisier than I expected with road noise as close to 100kmph highway.

Staff were excellent even servicing on Xmas Day! Stayed in one of the cabin style lodges and we were very impressed! The cabin was modern, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We dined in the main lodge and had the Xmas Day Buffet lunch with family that live locally. Unfortunately we couldn’t get in for dinner at the restaurant as didn’t have a booking but the bar food was suffice and the lady behind the bar was fabulous and accommodating. Nice quiet spot with pretty gardens. Would happily stay again.

Just an overnight stay so was not there for long. Room was a good size and bed comfortable. Freezer did not work. Tried to freeze bottle of waterovwrnight

Staff were lovely. Our room was very comfy and clean, we had the breakfast both mornings and it was super yummy. Totally recommend if your staying in gore. Definitely one of the nicer accommodations we’ve stayed at. Only complaint was the shower wasn’t staying on properly. The water knob kept falling down. We managed to keep it on and shower so it wasn’t too much of an issue but it may need to be tightened. I meant to tell staff as we were leaving but it slipped my mind.

The staff here really saved our trip! We had rented a car in Christchurch for our South Island portion of our trip and unfortunately had a screw wedge into our tire. Over the night we stayed, the tire became flat. We woke up to find this out the next morning, a Sunday, when we were planning to head out of town to our next destination. The manager went out of their way to allow us to check out later AND even posted to the local Facebook group to find a mechanic to help us when all shops were closed. Because of this amazing customer service, we were able to get connected to an on call technician and were on our way only an hour or so after we scheduled. The room was very clean, as well, and had a fantastic shower!

We had called ahead to ask for an early check in as had a function to attend at checkin time. Staff were accommodating and we checked in half an hour early. Checkin was quick and easy as we had prepaid via Wotif. Clean, tidy, and enough space for what we needed. Toilet is a little tight against the wall in the bathroom so may impact bigger people. Didn’t receive a bath mat on the second night so had to use a hand towel but otherwise everything was as expected from our last stay. Disappointed we couldn’t get a dinner booking once again so would recommend anyone wishing to dine in the restaurant to book well in advance!
