"Great overnight stay for my sons birthday, we ordered take out & used the pool for hours"

"There were a few little problems (tv, bad odour from sink) but the staff very helpful and friendly. Location is great!"

"Walls in the room was dusty but overall rooms were clean. No issues with parking but disabled bay could have been little bigger. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. No hot beverage served in the evening."

"Stayed many times over the 3 years my son has been at UEA. Normally very good. Unfortunately the most recent was a little disappointing mostly due to the room I was allocated. I booked an executive single based on a previous stay in one of these rooms however the nicer rooms are actually only the doubles. It isn’t made very clear that an executive single purely means a slightly bigger bed. There’s nothing really executive about them (or room 15 anyway) whatsoever. In fact the room looks...

"There was more parking spaces when we got there late, the receptionist was very helpful she explained where the restaurant was and the bar where we can now order food if we are hungry which we were, because the restaurant was closing. The rooms were very clean, breakfast was nice dinner was excellent depending on your choice. Overall friendly staff and my stay was enjoyable. Plenty of leaflets on were you want to go and see."

"The staff were friendly and helpful without being effusive. The room was clean and spacious although there was a distinct lack of power plugs in useful places. Breakfast was good and served promptly, as was dinner. The menu was more limited than in other places but the quality was excellent. The ambience and furnishings in the building were interesting."

"We stayed for two nights prior to renting a boat for a week on the broads. Central location, close to everything which was a huge plus since we did not have a car. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots to do in walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast, we had a great choice of breakfasts, the full English was a bit too big for me, I couldn't finish it, I should have gone for the small English. Plenty of parking. I would recommend booking a table for dinner as soon as possible, this venue is very popular with the locals. We would definitely stay at the Recruiting Sergeant again."

"Great hotel with awesome views of the football stadium! We’ll have to return to watch a game!"

"Steve the bar manager was attentive and very helpful"

"Rooms are comfy and well presented Beds are very comfortable Food is excellent and staff very friendly So much choice for breakfast Very worth a stay"

"Rooms are on 2 different levels so very quiet. We stayed in room 2 which was lovely, with tea & coffee etc and very welcome biscuits. No need to bring shower products as they are all provided. Breakfast was excellent with a choice of items (ordered the night before). The fruit salad was fab & I can highly recommend the omelette! My husband had the full English, which he really enjoyed. Offered more tea/coffee & toast. The hosts Jane & Mark were lovely and very helpful regarding the local area...

"The location was great for our needs. Very clean and tidy and the staff were lovely. Very helpful. Great gym. Some of the golfers were rather noisy late into the evening and early hours of the morning but overall a very pleasant stay"
