"What a Gorgeous property! Food was mostly decent, drinks were very sugary and watered down. Japanese restaurant was amazing. Italian was our least favorite."
"For us this was an amazing holiday. The hotel was just what we needed, friendly staff who went the extra mile for anything we asked.
Breakfast was excellent."
"This was our 2nd visit. A couple with 2 kids. We had a ground floor room in the new building (4000). Family room with sliding door. The room was spacious. Lots of closet apace as well. Beds and pillows- comfortable. The bathroom was between 2 room, good location. The sliding door was noisy, closes with a bang. The bathroom was good, water pressure a bit low. We stayed for 3 nights, after the 1st night our room was cleaned but after the 2nd- no. Had to ask for fresh towels. Had some ants on the floor from the balcony. Probably better to ask for a non-ground floor room. Lots of noise from the Cicadas, at no fault of the hotel of course.
Some negatives regarding the restaurants- last time, 2 years ago, at every restaurant there would be someone showing us to a table according to the number of people. Now- we had to find a table by our selves, sometimes needing to ‘outrun’ a bit someone else to get the vacant table. The food is quite repetitive, but the selection is wide. All of the restaurants, except of the asian, serve the same food. And in all of the restaurants, it is the same food every single day, and the same as it was 2 years ago.
Also a negative regarding sun-beds occupying with towels. They dont stop this phenomenon, and if you come after 10, almost no beds available. Some are ‘taken’ by a towel or 2 and for the whole day- no one !comes to lie there. They should not allow this"
"Generally very nice hotel, some areas I think need to be modernised, the safe in the room did not work even though I mentioned it to Reception twice. Sun beds were generally always available, which was a good thing and the slides in the waterpark were excellent for children. Food was excellent in each restaurant we went to."
"The highlights of the stay were the excellent breakfast buffet. It was really impressive. The more the guests, the better the offerings.
We were half board so had dinner as well. There weren’t enough guests on half board so there wasn’t a buffet but the hotel allowed us to order anything on the menu. The drinks on the last night were comped which was quite nice.
Stella from F&B was a standout. She was incredibly welcoming and helpful and very understanding, helping us get comfortable at the hotel.
The other staff member who helped us was the young man at the door. He helped create a great impression for the first time, we didn’t see him much so I couldn’t catch his name.
The other staff especially front desk really lacked hospitality and bedside manner. Requests to answer questions or open the garage were met with “what!?” as though we spouted blasphemy. Very strange and uninviting.
The hotel parking is convenient but kind of a pain to get in — you have to send someone up to front desk to have them open the gate while you hover there blocking the street.
There are two pools and I would rate them as satisfactory because they are very small.
The location is excellent. Just adjacent to the museum and our room had a wonderful view of the port and the water.
We enjoyed our stay there."
