Really enjoyed our stay and were able to sit outside in the sunshine by the river with a pre-dinner drink. The food was excellent well above usual pub grub. Will definitely stay again.

Nice night at the Lion

The Lion is in a lovely location, and has been renovated to a really high standard while keeping the features of the old coaching Inn it obviously was. The staff were really nice the food good and we had a very pleasant stay with them.

Great find! Booked this for an overnight stay whilst visiting Ludlow Christmas Market, and we couldn’t have chosen better. Lovely location, which I would image is even better in the Summer. Lovely room; friendly staff; fantastic breakfast!

Country location,very old property next to river ,very pretty and immaculately kept.Charming staff happy to do a snack after our late check in.Came for a funeral but would happily return just to visit as mid Wales has so much charm . Highly recommend this as a base.

Very clean , tea/ coffee making facilities in room with added thoughtful touches of biscuits and soft drinks. Delicious breakfast included . Good restaurant on site . Lovely garden to sit and have a drink with views. Very helpful staff . Could park across the toad when hotel car park full. Old building set on a fairly busy road , so our room had traffic noise , as windows not double glazed . Would request room at rear next time. 15mins drive to Ludlow which is lovely for walks , castle , art galleries , shops , cafes etc

Luxury in Leintwardine

The only room left was a small double but it was perfectly adequate for 2 people for one night. The room is tastefully decorated with a large bathroom with a shower over the bath. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The evening meal was excellent which we took out on the terrace overlooking the river and meadows. The breakfast was very good too although the smoked haddock was not available. Overall, a wonderful place to stay with good food and great service in an idyllic part of the world. This wasn't my first time staying here and hopefully it won't be the last.

Having been to a golden wedding celebration at Downton Old lodge, we needed a place for an overnight stay. The Loin was perfect. Lovely old beams, comfortable room with super bathroom, good food and pleasant staff. My choice gave me a lot of brownie points from my wife!
