"In 7 days, I had maid service once. When I finally complained to the front desk, they scheduled a service. There was no breakfast provided as many places do, the furniture was sparse and not in good condition. and the TV only worked intermittently."
"We stayed for a week in the regular rooms and tbh they weren’t so bad, they were at least clean. Then we moved into the “suites” extended stay rooms. They were terrible. Stains all over the walls, ceiling, lamps, etc. there was two car air fresheners tied to the AC unit, which was CAKED in mold, I’m talking caked. I bought bleach spray and sprayed it inside and out for a couple of days. The first day there about 5K flies in the rooms, and as I started to see, when the cleaners “cleaned” they would leave the doors open to the rooms. I’m guessing to air them out? Idk, I wasn’t expecting the Taj Mahal for 70/night. But I do expect a room to be clean and taken care of. The extended stay rooms were neither. But, like I said, the regular rooms weren’t bad. They were at least clean."
"Upon check in we explained to the front desk clerk very clearly that we had two reservations and specifically asked that she put us in a room that we could stay in for the duration of our stay because we didn’t want to have to change rooms. She sent us to our room after assuring us we could stay in our room for two nights. She was unsuccessful at doing this and we had to interrupt our visit with our friends to return to the hotel to change rooms. This was disruptive and annoying but what was worse was how rude the employees were that we talked with. One actually hung up on me. Not once did they apologize and accept responsibility for their mistake. Had they apologized and maybe offered us a coffee and croissant or something it would’ve been better received. They seem to not value their Expedia guests. They kept blaming the situation on me for booking through a 3rd party. I will never stay at this hotel again. It’s poorly renovated. The floors were dirty and I kept bumping into the corners of the hard oversized bed frame. Our room was also below ground level with an air conditioning system to look out at. There are better places to stay in Staunton with more courteous employees. Never again."
"Clean and refreshing room, Outstanding staff, delicious breakfast and very convenient parking and easy access to Southern Virginia University made our visit very productive and enjoyable"
