"The room is very, very small. Just enough room to walk around the bed. The bathroom is small. The entrance to, and the size of the shower...very small. The room was neat, clean and updated, just tiny."

"Wonderful location in Oban for a visit. Central to the local shopping, restaruants, the distillery, train and ferries. The service and hotel itself were also very nice. I would certainly choose it again if visiting Oban. The only minus was the lack of parking, but it was very easy to find affordable parking nearby."

"Hotellet ligger normalt utanför vår prisklass, men vi hade samlat ihop till en "gratisnatt" och ville dessutom göra resan lite speciell så vi unnade oss en natt här. Vi blev väldigt väl och personligen mottagna när vi anlände och rummet (eller snarare rummen) var som tagna ur en Hollywoodfilm. Middagen var bland den bästa vi ätit och servicen under middagen fantastisk. Salongerna var många och rymliga så det var aldrig något trängsel. "I was pleasantly surprised with how great The Kelvin was. It is a stone's throw from the ferry and train stations. When I checked in, I was told I had the studio, which turned out to be a fully refurbished studio apartment with plenty of space -- easily the largest room I stayed in while in Scotland, yet the lowest rate I paid. Not only was the room big, but it was clean and comfortable. There is also a nice bar with affordable drinks downstairs, although I am not sure about the hours of it....

"On arrival allocated 506 room one of the turret rooms with steps I tripped up on step the light was dim and could no see the steps went to reception and and this was rectified room 507 which was better standard and very happy staff were great enjoyed I stay at royal hotel only twice a year and they look after me very well and I will cotinue to keep going and recommend to my friends"
