Cowes break

Fabulous stay as always. The staff are friendly and accomadating. Hotel is in prime position in Cowes. As a family we are very fond of this hotel.

Just lovely staff

Even though the hotel was not brand new, the service, and especially the staff characteristics were soooo good, that will definitely stay there the next time at the Isle of Wight.

Very clean but tired. The sanitary ware in the bathroom was cracked with ingrain stains in the bath and toilet. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and all staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly

Anther friendly stay at the fountain the food is good at the fountain so we tea there after work breakfast is excellent you’re need to go a long way to bet the breakfast the owners are great and the staff are nice and friendly

What a great find .. great location . Staff amazing go above and beyond. As many places these days all needs a bit of upgrade to building and rooms BUT the comfort especially the beds !! And the friendly hard working staff more than make up for it ..we felt relaxed, welcome and valued . Especially our not so well dog skye who was truly spoilt ... This is not the first time we have stayed at a Greenking pub amd hope as a company you reward your staff .. they are amaxing .... We will be back ... Thanks to all the staff ....

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious, with a large double bed, wardrobe, desk and chair and a large tv. The bathroom was a bit small but functional. Our room had no view of the water, which was disappointing as this pub is located at the ferry dock. The location is great! Right on the High street of Cowes.

Wonderful welcome, brilliant staff

Such a warm welcome and so helpful. Absolutely lovely stay. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Bathroom likewise. Staff were brilliant able to accommodate a slightly later dinner on our first night and looked after bags both before check in and after check out.

Ideal location for the centre of town. Comfortable room with all requirements for an overnight stay. Perfect location to start the coastal path walk. Stayed at the beginning of walk Sunday very quiet at night. Stayed at end of walk Saturday night. Very noisy outside in street until early hours, even with windows closed Otherwise great place to stay. Staff lovely and helpful. Meal choice good and plentiful

Dog friendly pub with fabulous friendly staff

The rooms are comfortable and had all the facilities you would want. The rooms are a little tired but with such a busy island you’ll only be sleeping and showering in it. Staff extremely helpful and welcoming including to our dog who they treated like royalty. Evening meal very good and breakfast which I paid for in advance was impressive. Great location. A little noisy at pub closing time but should be expected as I booked a hotel above a pub!!! Would recommend for all

Poor hotel only held up by great staff

Great check on, great staff, very friendly and there to help. Room in poor condition, no heating and no hot water . Meant to be in for 2 nights, checked out after 1 . Great food offering, shame about the state of the premises.

Very old building needed some TLC. Cleanliness was poor, door handles felt sticky, carpets looked dirty. Noisy at night from bar next door which is open until 2am. On a positive note management helpful & friendly, breakfast was good.

We were greeted with a friendly welcome by the host whom also offered to carry bags up to our room, greatly appreciated. The room and bathroom had a magnificent view over the harbour and we then realise this is a gem of a place to have a weekend break from it all. That evening we relaxed with a wonderful meal, excellent wine and local music. That night slept exceedingly well in a comfortable bed. Breakfast was beyond expectation and seriously spoilt for choice, although it was busy we did not have to wait too long for our feast. We really appreciated the service provided by the staff, always happy, attentive and above all … friendly. Thank you so much for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. We will no doubt return soon for another weekend away
