"So easy and relaxed"

"Spanish Point and Armada House was one of our favorite stops on our two-week trip to Ireland. We were greeted with champagne, and our ocean-view king bedroom with a private contemporary bathroom was beautiful. A letter welcoming us was on the desk, along with some chocolates. The house is old and grand with gorgeous antiques. It is within walking distance of the Armada Hotel, a large upscale oceanfront hotel, restaurant, and pub. "We stayed in the panoramic room with a stunning view of the beach. We really enjoyed it. It's close to the Cliffs of Moher and this means you can visit the Cliffs either late or early in the day. This is a big advantage of staying here. Also you can have a nice meal at their restaurant."

"When I arrived at the reception it was closed and there was a telephone number to call and in a few minutes a man opened the door and showed me to my room. The bedroom is nice, very comfortable and the bathroom is wheelchair accessible, so the washbasin is lower than usual. The only problem I had with the bathroom was that the water from the shower did not drain away and the drain was blocked. The shower is not decent, it does not have good pressure to take a shower. The room was a bit dusty...

"We are requesting a refund for the reservation we made at Glenduff Manor house because the actual accommodations were not at all like what was described and shown in photos on Travelocity. The photos showed a stately home with lovely private rooms for the guests. It stated that a delicious breakfast would be served daily. It also described a pub for the guests on site. As it turns out, the pub was always closed, the stately home/manor was closed, there was never any breakfast for anyone, and to...

"Our greeting was cold and offhand. We were asked too pay cash, and when I objected, there might have been an option for debit card.. in the end we found cash, we were shown the room and left alone. Next morning we found breakfast but didn’t see anyone , these people are definitely not in the hospitality business, more the take the money and run business!!"
