King size bed was very comfortable. The room was newly renovated and spotless. Breakfast buffet was fresh and had just the right amount of choices. Great location. Will definitely stay there again!"

"We had a great stay. I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness and help. We had to travel for my daughter’s surgery and the staff was so kind. They had a popsicle for her to eat and asked how she was. Breakfast was also really great. Excellent hotel and staff. "

"We booked this hotel for a ski weekend at Troll and we were very disappointed. The main reason we booked here was for the pool which turned out to be closed for maintenance when we arrived on Feb 13. There was no posting online about it being closed, nothing stated in any emails before we arrived and no notice at the front desk while we checked in. We didn't know until we had our kids ready to go to the pool, we walked down to see if they had change rooms so the kids could change in the pool area after swimming. It was locked up and the pool was completely drained. When I went into the lobby to inquireabout it I got a shrug and a sorry. To top it off our room was dirty, and the bath towels were worn and frayed so bad they were falling apart. I have tried to communicate with the hotel and have received no response back. Hence the negative review. I would not recommend staying in this hotel."

"Located right on Main Street in the centre of Historic Barkerville, the room and the parlour (to which I had complete access and could curl up with a cup of tea and a book) fit the time period perfectly. Even the gracious and helpful proprietress was in period costume."
