Staff were excellent and friendly. Can also rent a taxi at the hotel for excursions to Ganvié, Porto Novo etc. of course a little bargaining does help! Breakfast food options good. Room size is comfortable for a couple. However, is an old property so has its quirks. Travelers may prefer newer more central locations if budgets allow. Currently the port is under construction in front of the hotel. So can be a bit disturbing for light sleepers. But overall our experience was good!

Nice hotel, with very friendly staff. The pool is nice and big with a reasonable gym to one site. I used the gym that has running machines and weights, as well as other training options. Food at the hotel was very good. I tasted the breakfast and room service. Both with a good selection of food. Overall, I am very happy with my say and would come and stay again.

Someone spoke English ...thanks to Candice. Excellent ambiance, beautiful art, lots of seating in lobby. Accommodations for just hanging out at the bar , the pool, and beach location, and good food. Excellent location to the supermarket, museums, airport, and the local big market. The staff were all excellent and very polite.

Needs improvement & attention to detail

The hotel is comfortable with a great outdoor swimming pool area. A number of things need attention to details: lack of towels for the bathroom floor as the shower is open and floor slippery when wet, replacing shower gels used daily, more meat variety at breakfast, placing note that water in the fridge is part of the bar and water outside is not! It takes a small things to make the stay memorable

The room was clean with AC. The ocean view was marred by construction going on from 5:00 until 20:00. You get used to the banging. Don't open the window because the mosquitoes are large and wicked. The staff were great. Abdou was extremely helpful when I arrived at 4am and he was able to accommodate me after a long tiring flight. The clothing vendor Vanessa was very nice and she has great African clothing and other items. The staff who cleaned my room was fantastic. My only complaint was the water was not hot but warm. They tried to increase the temperature but was only able to do it for the last two days of a 16 night stay. I chose the hotel especially because of the bathtub which I couldn't fully enjoy. The local car rental service in the hotel is overpriced and the boss is thirsty for cash. I used them once but my drive was excellent. The breakfast was a regular buffet style with a lot of pasta, not my preference Overall, I had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants an old school lux experience.

The property is now old. However, it's still very functional, neat and the staff are friendly. It's good enough for a sound sleep nothing fancy.

When checking out the hotel management refused to include in the bill, the money I paid when I booked online, and only issue me receipt for food consumed. Their excuse is that I paid to Expedia not to them, hence, they are not responsible for issuing the receipt. Meanwhile they gave me room on the basis of the same payment, which I found contradictory. I liked the fact that, they picked me up from the airport and took me back. The room was clean and cozy. If you cannot get a room on 4th or 5th floor go for city view, which is cheaper. You enjoy the ocean view only when you are on higher floors, the view from the lower floors is partially blocked by the roof of the restaurant. The food was slightly off for me, it tastes flat and monotonous, and overtly expensive.

First of I wanted to do a late checkout since my flight was at 11pm but was told by the front desk that they had no availability. I was able to go on Expedia and found that there was available rooms. I can not imagine for the life of me why the front desk would have told me they had no available rooms. I ended up booking on Expedia for another day just so I don't have to wait at the airport from checkout time till my flight time. Secondly the sevice was really horrible, I was stopped at the entrance so they could verify I actually had a room in the hotel. I felt discriminated against either because I wasn't white or wearing a suit. I would most def not recommend this hotel and will not be lodging here again.

Personnel toujours très accueillant et aimable. Le wifi est d’un débit incertain et difficile pour travailler en chambre. Préférez les taxis à l’extérieur (que je pratique depuis de nombreuses années) très pro et correct quant aux prix et aux services proposés
