Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay

8/10 Good

"The shuttle from the airport quickly picked us up and got us to the hotel. Check-in was smooth but it wasn’t clear how to get assistance with our bags to the Casitas. Once we got in the room, we discovered the bathroom trash can was not emptied from the previous guests. We let the front desk know and it was taken care of while we were at dinner. The food and service in the main tower restaurant was excellent. We enjoyed excellent seafood and steak for dinner. In the morning, we had the breakfast buffet which offered a wide variety of choices. There was a large wedding happening over the entire day of our check-out and staff seemed to be occupied with the event. The whole front entrance was shut down, right after check-out, so when our Uber arrived, we had to carry our suitcases down the driveway to the main road. We stayed here previously and expected to have better service from a Grand Hyatt."

"The front desk staff was amazing at check in and check out informed us about the resort amenities that were available, the live music entertainment throughout the day and evening. Nice bar set up with lights, set an energetic vibe. There are two pools with plenty of seating and Towels. They do charge a resort fee; however, I will say they actually had a perk with the resort fee that made it worth while paying. It included, beach lounge chairs and umbrella on the beach. What a wonderful usable perk to provide as apart of the resort fee. Friendly staff, nice perks, energetic vibe, plenty of parking, close to and within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and plenty of sand and beach to enjoy. Will definitely be back and recommend to others! Great job on not missing the Mark and remember your customers in all aspect of the resort. Must give a shoutout to the man on the beach setting up the umbrella and chairs for everyone, he did it with a smile on his face, very cheerful attitude and just all in all he was just happy to be there!"

The Barrymore Hotel Tampa Riverwalk

"Great location to just walk outside and hit the Riverwalk. Good location right off the highway. Toilet ran for 20 minutes after flushing, causing noise issues. Thin walls heard neighbors talking in room and doors shutting loudly in hallway throughout night. Loud vehicles cruising the riverwalk at night getting as much attention as they can was a little unnecessary, but young people gonne young it up. Active area! Decent stay. Friendly staff. No business aftea but they print documents for guests at the front desk if needed."
