"I tried to contact the hotel and Hotels.com to say we were stuck in transit and wouldn’t be able to stay in the hotel until we actually managed to get to Colombo….I asked if I could change the date, as these are unprecedented times….but no body got back to me."

"Nice spacious room, excellent room service and restaurant (Palmyrah), poor pool - mostly a place for crows to bathe and drink from. Although there are non-smoking signs everywhere, there are many guests who smoke and it infiltrates room - despite complaining about it, nothing was done about it. "
