Importantly the floor - beautiful white floor tiles 2ftX2ft were everywhere and gave a very impressive upscale appearance. The furniture was moderate, and the staff were friendly and courteous. They could improve the TV by adding two more Sri Lankan channels, there were too many channels with foreign languages no local guests understands. If they could re-start the restaurant, they could attract more guests. Thank you - Steve from USA, stayed 18 nights

The room given initially was large and adequate for the stay. However the wash room requires immediate attention. Swearage smell was intolerable and my wife refused to use it. It appears that the drainage is blocked. Myself as a professional engineer recommends that a professional plumber who could use a power assisted drive to push everything out. It’s not uncommon to find this situation because sanitary pads are often placed by the users. On the plus when I register the complain to the Manager next morning he reluctantly accepted my concern and gave us another room which is bigger than the earlier one. But if I were to rate the bad odour for earlier given room is 8/10 then the new room is 5/10. No matter how much chemicals used to suppress odour the root cause is the blocked drainage that needs immediate attention. We will not be interested in staying at Sai Sea Hotel

Misleading description. No amenities.

None of the amenities advertised our present. None. I am recovering from nerve damage so it’s quite difficult for me to walk. I chose this location because the description mentioned a restaurant onsite and wifi in the room. They offer neither. They don’t even have coffee and tea in the common area. They were clearly very happy to provide whatever service they were able to provide. Unfortunately the amenities that they advertise are not there. The hotel shares that the reasn for the lack of amenities is Covid. While I’m sure that that is the case, the description needs to be updated. When I appeal to hotels.com to refund me so I could rebook somewhere else they gave me a lot of resistance and just did not support me at all. If I was to have left it would’ve been a total loss of the money for the reservation. I’m disappointed in the hotel as well as hotels.com. I will say though the hotel has the absolute best view of the sea and seen in the whole city. It’s beautiful to see the sunrise and the sunset!

Sai Sea City Hotel is a thug. A thief. They charged full price for 10 nights, then sent a note that they are cancelling reservation due to over booking and will refund the amount. They never refunded any amount. I booked elsewhere, once I received a note from Sai Sea City Hotel about the over-booking and the cancellation, but still got charged. Sai Sea City Hotel is a Thief. A Thug.

Isolated and run down establishment

This hotel is 10 kilometers from the city. It is indeed on the beach but the hotel photos conveniently miss the train line separating the two. Trains come through regularly so noise is an issue. Missing bedside lamp globes, a main light that strobed when switched OFF and a door lock that fell off complete the picture. Best avoided.

Excellent breakfast and staff. Rooms need to be a bit more maintained. I had stayed here three years prior and this time felt it hadnt been maintained. But never the less good location and reasonable price.

名前の通り海が目の前に見えるホテルで雰囲気が良いです。このホテルは海側の部屋は景色がとても良いですが、鉄道が近く列車が通ると少しうるさいです。ホテルの位置はスーパーも比較的近く便利です。

Awful place

First, rude and unhelpful front desk man. Second, it's located in the middle of nowhere. There's a beach nearby but you need to risk your life crossing through several rail tracks. Third, there's terrible Internet connection, and it's not possible to get laundry or food. Fourth, if you're above average in height, their 'queen' size bed will be too small for you.
