Choose Magnolia Inn

I am happy with my decision to choose this Inn. It was exactly what my family and I needed for our weekend trip. The heater/ac unit was not working properly but was good enough to warm the room up. The shower head also had its issues but it still got the job done. Neither of these issues were big enough for me to request that the Inn service the equipment. If I need to stay in this are again, I will happily stay here again.

Not bad given the price.

When you factor in that this is a budget motel, it was perfectly acceptable for what I paid. I was glad I was traveling with a friend and not my wife, but honestly I would have booked a nicer place if she was with me. For a quick overnight on a guys trip it was fine. Two notable things were there was no breakfast at all and no coffee makers in the room, so in the morning you’re on your own for coffee and food (there is a microwave and mini-fridge in the room if you planned ahead).

We were pleasantly pleased with our stay at the Magnolia Inn. The whole place was very clean. The rooms were updated. The bed was clean and comfortable. A train runs close by occasionally but mostly during the day. Other than that it was very quiet. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We would definitely recommend it.

Restful night. We'd stay here again.

We were very pleased with our stay here. The lady who greeted us was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious and the bed might be the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. The only ding I have for this motel is that it took about ten minutes for the hot water to get to us for showers. Once the water warmed up it was a good shower. Laurens is off the beaten track, but if we looking for lodging and are passing by this way, we will definitely stay here again.

This is my second visit for 2021 and like the last one it was perfect. Safe,easy parking right at our door, very very clean, all parts of the room worked (WIFI was strong, all plugs worked), beds were comfortable, again perfect.

Ok to start with the room waa not ready and so i dropped off my bags and went fo my grannys for about 2 hours came back the room was hot and it was dark. No coffee pot no hair dryer no breakfazt Next day i get up leave the air on and a lamp on i left at900 am came back at 630 pm my room was hot the air was off and i had left a lamp on and it was off soi was very un happy alao they dont believe in leaving an extra towel i had to dry off and dry my hair with the same towel not happywill not be coming back not worth the money i paid 60.00 per night pluse taxes and fees

Great choice.

Old hotel but kept up, completely redone inside. Great service/staff. Comfortable. Only thing was motorcycles at midnight wanted to run around the place, too much noise for awhile.

Great place for the money

Nicely renovated, but poor railroad proximity

you can tell this hotel has been updated-newer sinks, floors and furnishings. But the paint job on the doors was left untouched-very scratched splotchy. Only complaint is the hotel is directly next to a busy railroad and trains were constantly coming through blasting their whistles at all hours.

Nice little hotel

Was in town for the races at Laurens County Speedway. The hotel is older but they are remodeling it. Nice staff with a good pool. Room was clean and comfortable. Will stay again the next dirt race that I go to there.

Good value for the price. Not terribly fancy or special, but you can't beat it for the price. Our only issue was that our room smelled heavily of marijuana. We smelled it as soon as we opened the door. Not sure if it was coming through the air vents from another room or not, but it definitely seemed as though it was coming from our room. The hotel sits right beside railroad tracks, but thankfully that didn't create too much of a problem for us.

Very Pleasing Stay

Our room was very clean with no unpleasant odors or surprised items left in the rooms by previous guest. (Example was used needles at a Days Inn in Charleston SC). The cleaning staff there couldn't have been any better. For the price this place was much better then we expected. The staff there made you feel at home. The only thing negative wasn't their fault. You get awakened at 5:30 am by the train that seemed like it was coming down the street in front of your room. No guest there were loud which was a pleasant surprise. The water from the showers was nice and hot.
