"Situated in a lovely area of the Sussex Downs this small country pub provided ideal accommodation for our visit to Glyndbourne. Clean, simple but well appointed accommodation, with a good breakfast provided in the morning. Long Man Best Ale in cask available at the bar, which was a treat."

"Have stayed in 4 hotels and B&B’s in Eastbourne and this is by far and away the best one I’ve stayed in. Victorian features, stain glass windows combined with a modern style. Breakfast choices were eggcelent with proper sausages and bacon, the “house” scrambled eggs was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was a bonus as that area of Eastbourne can be tricky to find spaces to park at night. Would definitely stay at The New England again."

"The staff were amazing from the front desk Darcy and mum to the night porter, who could not do enough for us brilliant. Would recommend to all ages and jealous that we’re not still there. Carnival was great; only thing is if you’re down for this event next year, find parking first early, as it’s at a premiere. Massive shout out again to all. 👍😘"

"Dirty, tired and not fit for purpose. ‘Deluxe family room’ windows without locks and open when arrived - huge falls risk. One broken window taped up. Dirty walls, dirty shower and bathroom, toe nail clippings on bedroom floor. Towels on every bed but 2 with stains. Floors uneven and creak. No chain on door. "È un albergo rimasto fermo a 40 anni fa. Come mobilio e come strutture comuni. I bagni, ad esempio, sono minuscoli e certe camere hanno le docce con l’entrata a 20 centimetri dal water. Non c’è l’aria condizionata ma un ventilatore e la finestra non si può aprire perché entrano i gabbiani! Però è pulito, il personale è gentile e fa di tutto per mettervi a vostro agio, la sala da pranzo è funzionale e ben arredata, la posizione è ottima, i prezzi sono bassi. "The hotel just next to the beach, beautiful view from the window although the windows can’t be opened, room are clean and bed are comfortable. Limited amenities such as toiletries (toothpaste, bins) no telephone in the room, no fan as well but it’s ok for the price it’s offered. "The room was spacious but dated. Everything worked but was worn. The bed was 2 bed frames stuck together with a king size mattress on top. Firm sleep - not the most comfortable. Quiet property and the man running it was nice and helpful. It was cheap and cheerful and suited me ok, but would not take my wife. Location is great. 1 block from the beach and a short walk from the town centre. Overall happy with the visit."

"Incredible location across from the beach. Room was spacious and had a view of the beach and the pier. These older buildings don’t have AC but a fan was provided as was a small portable fridge. We didn’t try the bar or restaurant so we can’t rate those. We forgot some important items in our room on checkout and the staff were amazing. They contacted us right away when they found the items and offered to have a staff member deliver them to us. Really helpful."
