Excellent service!

Great accommodation for people with walking restrictions as the property is located on the seafront. Excellent service from the staff, room spacious and comfortable. Bathroom slightly dated, shower products available along with clean, fresh towels.

Turned up at the hotel no one there. Ring the number on the door eventually someone came and let me in. After another 10 mins went to room to find someone else already in it. Another 20 mins was told to go to there other hotel because there was no room for me. Never use that hotel again

Arrived just before 9pm. No one at front desk. Called the number listed to call if no one was at the desk. Right to voicemail. We waited around 90 minutes. Never got a call back. Had to scramble to find other accomidations. Absolute trash of a place. Avoid at all costs.

Nothing everything was dirty carpets,walls,paint falling off ceiling, shower has black mould,dust everywhere,landing carpet black. Every in the building needs deep deep clean and painting. Plus there was a group of male adults creating a great noise all night till the police arrived and made them leave and due two bad nights and I refuse to pay for this stay. This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in it cannot be called a hotel as there is no service at all. It needs to be taken off you site as you are missleading the general public, and you should inspect this hotel

AVOID AWFUL

I had booked this in Feb 2023 & spoke with them to ensure my Father was given a ground floor & i was told this would be done. Prior to arriving i was txt about my arrival time & i confirmed the room was ground floor & told no. I explained i had for this in Feb & he needed ground floor. They then wanted to put our bookings in different & also him to have a shared bathroom. I was told to delay my arrival for up to 1 hr & it would be sorted. The property they sent us to, had a few steps into the property & as he had a mobility scooter this was unacceptable so i asked for an refund & was told this would be done. We booked another hotel. I was then notified afterwards no refund would be granted. I explained my Father couldnt access the room. I then contacted them to collect the keys & no-one from the hotel contacted me. AVOID THIS PROPERTY & THIS HOTEL CHAIN

Scamming owners do not recommend

I was running an event last Friday 15th July and spent £500 booking 5 rooms at this hotel for myself and some of the DJs I had booked for my event. When I turned up the guy didn't really know what he was doing but this was okay and he let me check in for 4 of the rooms. This was because check in was only until 21:30 and 3 of the rooms were going to people from out of town that was not arriving until 23:00. I regret I did not check all 4 rooms but I assumed this was an honest hotel. Maybe I should have done after reading another review after the Gathering festival last month saying the owners took money out of their security deposit for no reason. In the morning I was awoken at 10:30 with a bang on the door and the owners said I needed to check out now. Then after I packed they were back at my door 20mins later. The owner said he was taking some money out of the £200 deposit I had paid across the 5 rooms. He said we were late checking out at 11am when should be 10:30am. I said I need to stop you right there as your website says 11:30am. Then he said we made noise when we came in. I said that does not warrant taking more money off me. Next he shows me photos of a broken chair and door, to which I demanded to see the room. I was informed by the people in that room the door was already broken, yet we couldn't report this at 3am when they first went in the room as nobody was on reception. I asked the guy where the missing bolt was off the chair. He said it doesn't

No frills, satisfactory few nights

There was nobody present to greet me when I arrived. There was a mobile number on the front door to phone in this instance. The number was very faint and could do with rewriting. On phoning the number I was directed to a key box on the side of the building to obtain my key. I was then instructed how to sign in and and get to my room. The room was annexed onto the main reception. Room 11. The room was small but adequate with a double bed and en suite shower and toilet. Shower gel and tea/coffee making facilities were provided. The room looked like it it was under renovation. New floor in shower room but walls could do with a lick of paint. When the host arrived he was polite and asked me if I was OK and if I needed anything. The hotel offered good value for money, being cheaper than most other hotels in the area. I didn't book breakfast. Overall, I had a satisfactory few nights.

Disappointed

Good location but hotel nothing like pictures advertised. No windows to open leading to outside room smelt very bad. Bedding was bobbly so very old. Bathroom was nice and new but looks like they didn’t have a budget to do the full room.

Dont go

Terrible booked here to hit the gathering festival checked in fine, room has been made up from charity shop which we wasnt bothered about. Checked in fine until departure when owner demanded me and my friends paid an extra 20 each as you cant get a room in high season for what we paid. We refused to pay and owner became aggressive absolute utter disgrace we paid the price stated on here. In the last 24 years of working all around the world and travelling all around the world i can honestly say i had never had a hotel owner demand more money off me when checking out and to be told dont come back. Be aware people owner trys to charge u more on check out for this run down slum.

Good location.

The building looked tired. Inside could do with redecorating. But with the pandemic it has been a very tough time for most industries including this type too. Very pleasant host. When leaving the door handle came off in my hand and couldn't get the lock released for around 5 minutes. Which wouldn't be good in an emergency. We mentioned this to the landlord and he said he will get it placed. The room were clean, bed comfy. The bathroom had several cobwebs in it. It is a good location on the seafront and around 10 minutes walk to all the amenities.

Great economical play very near the nightlife and across the road from the beach. Nice clean room. Ensuite with kettle and free tea n coffee. Would highly recomend

Oyo mj hotel

Unfortunately the hotel on arriving in reception had a strong smell of fish .. our room had no hot water in bathroom sink and no radiators were on so room was cold . Thier was fighting in rooms on the sat nite which kept us awake till 5am the gentleman man who was managing it was polite but thier was no room service during our stay we took our own rubbish to bins . The room was fair clean but cold .. overall we would not stay again ..
