"A very comfortable lodging above a store in Glastonbury. A beautiful secret garden entrance and easy shopping. Everything is very quiet at night with the town closing down early. There was parking close by and we walked everywhere the whole time we were there. Lilija on staff was kind and helpful."

"This place was older but the staff and owners / mangers were the most kind and considerate of anyone we had met on our trip. They took such good care of us and the food was excellent. They got us extra bedding let us store our luggage for a few hours outside of check in. Treated my friend nd to a birthday drink. They were like long lost friends. . "This is a 600 year old hotel. Dont let the facade fool you. It has incredible charm. The property is well maintained and the obvious age makes the experience unique. The room was spotless and well appointed. The bar and reception was warm. I loved my stay here and will be returning if im back."

"What an absolute treat The Red Lion is. I went of pervious reviews and it didn’t disappoint. In fact it exceeded my expectations, what a gem of a place. The Staff were simple amazing, David and Jasmine were fantastic and always on hand of we needed anything. The rooms are so comfortable and modern, the Breakfast was fabulous and the food in the pub was outstanding. My only problem is that I won't have the homemade biscuits that were in the room, tonight with my cuppa tea when i am at home."

"After receiving my key and directions to my room, I was amazed at the steepness of the stairs. In the States we would call that a ladder. But the room was clean and comfortable and the attached restaurant was brilliant. The cathedral and the green were visible from my suite. It was the perfect place to stay."

As was the various fruits from their garden. Easy travel to numerous places including Stourhead and the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Great hosts highly recommended."
