"Couldn't wish for a better welcome, hosts were exactly my cuppa - laid back and relaxed at all times. Looked after well before I even got to the site and enjoyed an unexpected upgrade. Very decent breakfast to set me up also. Hope to stay there again soon!"

"I booked to stay one night with a chance I might need a second night. Room was a separate wooden chalet. Door very difficult to open. Small bathroom with shower a bit difficult to access unless you have long legs. Mirror near toilet not easy to see. Glad I didn’t need to make up. Breakfast was a bag with croissant and porridge to mix yourself and an apple. Jam, butter orange juice also provided but juice not very nice and make your own coffee from Nescafé in room. "Magnificent grounds, the approach on driving towards the Hall is stunning. It's a beautiful historic building with a very pleasant bar with lovely outdoor seating overlooking the grounds open until 10pm. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was amazing. "The room was alright no head room in bathroom and shower head very low so only available to use if sat in bath. No reception for arrival and no management seen at all. Bar closed at 6pm on Sunday even though sheet in room said open till 7. Menu was very poor with very little choice. Breakfast was average."

"Arrived to find the place locked up and had to make a phone call for someone to come to the pub to give us our room key. Apparently there was a problem of having no electricity due to the heat. No evening meal available and no bar; breakfast was average, with some folk having to wait a long time for service. The place was clean and room was comfortable."

"The Guinness Arms had character rooms and the hallway was just as nice. Our room had aircon and also a skylight which had retractable blinds if you wanted to look at the sky or not. Room was clean and cosy with coffee and tea facilities. A bottle of water was also supplied with a selection of biscuits. Iron and board in cupboard for those who want to sort the creases out. "I was advised to checking using the app which I couldn't find after going to reception advised this hadn't worked for over a year ! Which was a bad start to the weekend ."

"I paid extra for an airconditioned room however AC was not working. One of the beds was missing, there was a mattress on the floor which very dusty and not cleaned for a long time. Wallls were stained. Windows were locked, not possible to open. it was the worst experience of a hotel. I do not recomend to anyone. I also would like a refund for this terrible service."
