"My only issue is that the rooms don’t have air conditioning. Bed was comfortable but the heat was very tough to handle during the hot weather."

"After finally being allocated a room, the room was stiflingly hot as this was the hottest May on record, and the in room AC did not work. As such we had to open the window later that evening when the outside temperature had dropped low enough, but were then unable to get any sleep as the hotel backs on to a railway station, and we had to listen to trains arriving and departing probably every 10 mins or so until about midnight. We were leaving the hotel at 3:30am and so had not sleep at all."

"Room was as expected. Met the brief…minimalist but had everything you needed and was clean. Location was excellent for the airport. Staff were friendly , welcoming and helpful. Would stay again for travel to and from Manchester airport."

"The Staff were lovely. We were upgraded which was nice. We didn't use the facilities due to lack of time but it looked good. The rooms were a little dated and needed some TLC. The shower was very good. It is a drive or taxi ride into town as the pavements are not suitable for walking. The Breakfast provided choice and it was good. Again the staff were excellent which made it taste better."

"We had a very good stay here. The reception staff were very friendly. The room immaculately clean, bed and pillows very comfortable, a good night's sleep was had. I have only given 4 stars in some instances as we didn't have time to have breakfast or need any assistance so can't honestly rate those points. But we will definately stay again if possible in the future."

"Excellent location, lovely staff and clean rooms with a great shower for post-hike/bike. The rooms were a little hot during the heatwave, even at night where the temperature outside was a good 10 degrees cooler than inside the room. Windows were not large enough to provide sufficient airflow I think The restaurant was not worth the price - there are plenty of fantastic, cheaper options in the nearby hathersage/hope area. "Loved my stay! The staff was super friendly and nice, felt very welcomed. The room was comfortable and clean. Parking was easy and convenient. The breakfast was perfect, I also dinned in the restaurant and loved everything. Banana Toffee Waffle dessert is well worth the calories!"

"The entrance is a little lacking and the welcome a little frosty from reception, but the rooms were wonderful and we all slept like babies in our beds. Breakfast was basic, but hot, clean and filling. Some improvements to be made, but would book again."
