"not sure if it's standard practice, but I've never been to a hotel w/o 24/7 staff (the front desk was locked down after hours and at 8:30 in the morning) room had an unidentified brown liquid substance on the floor near the bed, hair on one of the towels"

"Very very disappointed with this location. No toilet paper and dirty tub/shower and the phone in the room didn’t work. Floor was not vacuumed well and no smart TV for personal viewing or mirroring. Best experience was Jayce at the front desk. Great customer service although not much she could do to help. Offered IHG points to my account unfortunately I have yet to see them or the 100.00 deposit. My husband and I had to go to Walmart to get our own toilet paper and cleaning supplies for the tub. Full service housekeeping is only on day 3 of your stay. No pool it’s under maintenance Unfortunately I won’t ever stay here again and very questionable about any other Holiday In Express. Pros - Clean sheets and no bed bugs or roaches to deal with. For the most part the room was decent but a bit small for my 6’4 husband. Continental Breakfast wasn’t too bad and was made available pretty early as expected."

"The check-in process was OK due to some confusion about what ID they required. The room itself was clean. Although this is the third Motel 6 I have stayed in where the bathroom door has been fixed due to what looks like someone trying to break it down. The carpark isn't in the best condition. Also I stayed over a Saturday and Sunday and there were only a few spots left on the Saturday. Conveniently located to public transport to get into Downtown Chicago."
