Basic hotel with affordable price
Good: - Very big room with dining table - Clean - Allows animals - Easy parking - Staff are friendly and played with our dog - Very worth it for the price if you only need it just ti sleep. Bad: - Very basic amenities, no hair dryer even in suite room - Bed is really hard - Breakfast is bad - Room is old - Shower head mounted to the wall, so we couldn't shower our dirty dog - Water is hot at night but not hot at all in the morning - Wifi is patchy on the day

Great Swimming pool.
A large almost American style motel establishment. Check in was ok but a bit chaotic. Nice big room with large comfy bed. Good sized bathroom great shower. Cleaned every day clean towels spotless room. Helpful staff very close to golf course so lots of early risers. Great swimming pool which seems seldomly used. Use of really good gym as well. An amusing live music bar next door. Walk into centre of town takes about 25mins. Its only downfall is its awful breakfast. Such is life. Apart from that we enjoyed ourselves here.

Comfortable getaway
Rooms were spacious. Away from main tourist area , so nice and quiet. Breakfast more Asian style. Some bread and jam for toast. breakfast not great, but booked hotel on special so exceptional value.

Good value for the money
Great hotel for the price point. Breakfast was ok, expect more Thai options than American. The pool is very large and seemed pretty clean. The one downside about the standard room was it was a large building with a lot of rooms and no sound barrier so it can be very noisy at times. I wouldn't stay more than a few days.

The Pimann Hotel was not as good as we had hoped. The bed was so hard the floor would have been more comfortable which unfortunately affected the rest of our visit in Chiang Rai. The hotel did have a great pool and gym and although the staff spoke limited English they were very friendly. I had read a similar review about the hard beds before I book but unfortunately didn't listen which I now regret.

Good value hotel with great gym
I booked this hotel because of the gym. It's a great gym for a hotel in this price range because it's accessible to non-guests. The room was comfortable but smells a bit of mold. The breakfast was ok not as bad as other reviews suggest however it would have been good to have labels next to the food items so you know what you are eating. Some milk and cereal and fresh fruit would have been nice. The area is ok not near anything you would want to visit but kinda short distance from most attractions and cheap to get around with uber. No restaurants around but there's a 7 eleven.

Rooms are spacious and adequate. I asked for a kettle and received one. 20 min walk into town. Pool ok. Excellent gym for Thailand and not busy. Restaurant serves good food. Not much choice of drinks. Clean apart from wooden terrace in restaurant. Could do with a bit of a clean and updating. Cleaning staff friendly. Wi-Fi was pretty good. Relaxed vibe.

Good Gym... Good Room Service but super hard bed
Got myself a suite at lvl 1, like the food ordered from room service. Gym facility is new and reasonably well equipped. The disappointing part was the smell from the toilet. Very hard bed and poor service from the reception.

4 days in Chiang Rai
I chose this place because of the gym and pool, which were surprisingly quite good. Also, for the price, this place is crazy cheap. Grounds are nice. Rooms are clean, large, but relatively simple and no frills. Breakfast is also limited and Thai style only. For $15/night you can't beat it, especially considering the gym and pool facilities.

Nice clean hotel stayed there before and enjoyed it I have transportation so it's easy. One of my faverate Thai restaurants next door called slalom joy. Excellent and real Thai food

Good deal.
OK for the price. Room could have used a chair to sit in and one of the two stairs into the pool should have a rail down the middle to make it safer to get in out but otherwise the pool was great.

Pool occupied with swimming lesson 6 hours a day!
I'm really really not one for complaining. You get what you pay for I totally get that! But my gosh these staff were soooooo rude! Laughing at you whilst starring right out you! Never smile despite my hardest effort. I used to think it wouldn't matter if staff are miserable and rude but it really gets you down! Also the pool, 9am to 3pm there is continuous swimming lessons so the pool is occupied! Doesn't tell you that in the description! Other than that rooms are pretty standard to be honest I wouldn't go back purely based on the atmosphere I couldn't wait to leave

A little weird, but fun and comfortable.
Huge empty hotel, looked a little like a prison wing but room was very comfortable and pool facilities excellent. TV had HBO and sports channels. Seemed to be far more staff than guests and sometimes they would just laugh at us for no apparent reason. Breakfast was probably the only poor food we had during our time in Thailand, but you can always find something to fuel you on to the next meal. And there is ok juice and coffee.

Difficult to talk to someone at front desk that spoke good english and also they should smile more to make you feel welcome The breakfast choice in the buffet should improve with more optiins eg like fried egg they didnt have that option at all rooms should supply soap as all hotels ive been do Room sink needs a plug that would be good and staff needs to be more friendly eg like being at a 4 to 5 star hotel it would bring more people to stay

Friendly staff, good facilities, good breakfast, clean and modern rooms. Shower was especially good, not far from a few good restaurants and easy drive to many of the local attractions. Cannot go wrong for such a good price

wonderful swimming pool and free bike tour
For those preferring free trip, Piman Inn is surely a good choice. They offer bike for free so that you may take a tour around the city as the city is within the range of 30-mins bike travel. If you want to go further, they also provide motorbike rental. The swimming pool and its facilities really makes you comfortable and relaxed after a whole day trip. The breakfast, not luxary but keep various everyday! I would choose it next time to Chiangrai!

Good parking
This is ideal for people with cars as there is plenty of secure parking available. Breakfast was ordinary at best but rooms were clean and comfortable. Pretty good value for money.

Nice Hotel for the Price
Nice big room and big hotel grounds. Only negative was the toilet had a sewer smell so made the room stink if you left the bathroom door open and made using the bathroom uncomfortable. On a side note with freakish cold weather we learned there is no heat in the hotel rooms, which I can understand for Thailand. Even the rent-a-car had no heater. So a very cold 3 days. Nice bar next to hotel for drinks and dinner, live Thai music. Also stayed during a local fair that took place at the old airport across the street. A huge event which help pass a few evenings with shopping, eating and some shows.

Good hotel, but a bit expensive.
Pimann Inn was a great place to stay if you want to be away from the downtown area. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful and most can speak pretty good English. The amenities are limited in the room, with AC & cable television. There is a complimentary buffet breakfast which includes Thai foods (vegetarians included) as well as some Western-style foods (ie toast and butter). There is a gym that closes each day at midnight. I would rate this hotel a bit on the expensive side for what you get.

Poor location and breakfast but cheap
It's in the middle of nowhere but calling a taxi is easy in Chiang Rai, meter fare of less than 35 baht plus 20 baht call charge. The pool is nice but the breakfast is the worst I ever had, even the locals will not enjoy it. Quite poorly trained staffs.
