Was given a room with a flooding washroom upon check-in, the flooding caused by faulty/poor construction. When brought up with front-desk staff, we were told that the hotel was fully booked, we had to stay in the room, and given towels to put on the flooded washroom floor.
After a disgusting night in a room with an unusable washroom, we checked-out the following morning and requested a refund of our two remaining nights.
At this point the manager spoke with us and said that a refund was not possible. And while their head office is aware of the faulty guestroom, they would not authorize a refund (even for the unused nights).
Weeks, have turned into months, and we still haven't had a resolution from Icon Park Chiang Mai, or Hotels.com to this situation.
I would never recommend a property with such a bad approach to guest service, and have never come across a situation where both the property and the OTA have so spectacularly failed at customer service.
