"Good location, not far from all attractions. The car park on-site is convenience. The hotel provides a small breakfast but delicious. They also have complimentary coffee and tea which is very nice."

"Lightfoot house is a lovely compact 1 bedroom property. Very well decorated and very clean. Thank you for supplying all of the essentials needed for our trip. The location was very good, a 20 minute stroll along the canal gets you into the city centre. The suburb of Hoole is a short walk away also, with a good selection of pubs and restaurants. Parking is a great bonus with the car park behind the property. All in all, a very enjoyable short stay. We would definitely use again when we return to...

"The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"Absolutely wonderful stay the location is perfect the apartment is spotless All you need The pillows were quite hard for us so we bought two new ones but this is personal preference but if you like a soft pillow take your own or perhaps the owners could supply them so you have a choice The internet went off so the tv was limited but the weather was windy maybe this had something to do with it But out of 10 we rate the stay 8 "

"Fantastic apartment in a great location for visiting Chester. Parking is located a bit away from the property and can be a bit difficult to find but only a minor thing. Everything else was really good including the communications from the owner. Highly recommend. "

"The information given before the stay was amazing. The apartment itself is a great find, and I would highly recommend staying here when in Chester. The entire apartment was clean and laid out to perfection. Added bonus of the Hot tub. I would not hesitate to stay here next time we are in Chester."

"Lovely property, great decor. In a beautiful spot next to the River Dee. Great seeing various boats passing by. Loved sitting out on the patio. The inside of the house has everything you could possibly need. The owner, Chris, keeps in touch to make sure you are happy with everything. Lots of lovely walks nearby, miniature railway in the park at the end of the road. Short walk into Chester. We would definitely like to go back. "

"A brilliant cottage perfect for what we wanted very modern, clean, private, felt like home! It was really nice to get back to the cottage after a long day of walking and site seeing. Really easy to find using a sat nav and no trouble with the country roads or conditions of the roads to get there as seen in another review so don’t let that put you off booking! Nice little bonus of milk and cookies on arrival which was great as we arrived quite late without supplies so could still have a cuppa...

The booking was easy but the owner of this cottage was excellent in communication and instructions ( Gaynor ) there isn’t enough I could say and we had the privilege of meeting her when she did midweek check on jacuzzi.
