Lovely property, great decor. In a beautiful spot next to the River Dee. Great seeing various boats passing by. Loved sitting out on the patio. The inside of the house has everything you could possibly need. The owner, Chris, keeps in touch to make sure you are happy with everything. Lots of lovely walks nearby, miniature railway in the park at the end of the road. Short walk into Chester. We would definitely like to go back.

Lovely stay at Stone Villa. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was delicious, varied and plentiful. The rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean. The lovely hospitality tray which was topped up each day was very welcome after a long day sightseeing. Highly recommended.

This was my second visit to Liverpool and the first time using a hotel, I was drawn in by the outside look of the hotel then when I saw the rooms and then how good the price was I was sold. When I got there it was clear the area was quite close to anything I'd need and less than 10 minutes from central station which was perfect. What a fabulous stay. Downtown Chester with parking; the location is excellent - less than 5 minutes walk to the Cathedral. The hotel itself is spotless with a really modern yet classical style. Amenities are good (eg premium coffee and tea - and biccies) and the bed was super comfortable. Great first impressions upon arrival, interior decor makes it feel luxurious and staff were attentive; nothing was too much trouble. Lack of parking nearby is the only downside and was more because of how bad the weather was, but convenient for walking into the center in the evening.

Excellent standard of hotel. Really liked the room, dinner, breakfast, atmosphere. The only minor negatives were the amount of listed TV channels which didn't work, no radio stations and our AC didn't seem to function although we didn't mention it to staff. Thoroughly recommend.

Reception and cleaning staff very friendly. Excellent location and dog friendly. Nice and quiet.

My wife and I stayed for one night on 21/10/17. We received a very warm welcome from Martin and his team. The pub itself was great with a wide selection of drinks. The accommodation was quirky, clean and comfortable.The location is perfect for exploring Chester and the surrounding areas. The food and service were excellent. The free parking right opposite was a bonus too. We'd have no hesitation in recommending The Golden Eagle and would stay there again.

Had a lovely stay, nice and quiet, good location and a car park next door. We will definitely stay again the rooms are huge and a great shower.

Perfect location and great service. The staff could not be more helpful. Parking easy and amenities good. Breakfast was lovely. Rooms a little tired but perfectly ok. The only slight downside is the room temperature which was a little on the hot side but overall it was great and we would stay again.

Great place to stay although just for constructive feedback there were areas that appeared to be forgotten, it has 4 stars on trip advisor but could easily slip to 3, for instance the entrance for guests to access their rooms appears slightly unkempt carpeting needed hoovering and paint work could do with a good wash down, this is first impressions. Everything was wonderful! Literally next door to the M&S arena. Perfect if you’re going to a concert!
