"Good room -very clean . Nice to have a canal view .The Spa pool was fabulous.
The hotel felt quite basic however for a 4 star hotel . No room service food available .No basic toiletries like soap/ shower gel or shampoo provided.
There was no relaxing lounge area with sofas to sit in & enjoy -just a bar area with tv that was quite noisy .
The staff were all very welcoming & friendly however .
The hotel is in a good location-well positioned for walking into Chester’s city centre .

"Last minute trip so I can't complain about the price however, this is a very below average hotel. Needs some good TLC. Bathroom was usable but very run down and unserviced. Room was very hot overnight with windows that open around 20cm (however fans provided but no plugs next to the bed). We had dead wildlife hanging on the bird net outside our window on the 2nd floor. Overall it was a bed for the night but we won't be returning here anytime soon. Avoid for the time being and spring for The Grosvenor."
"The breakfast was superb, everything you could wish for…from toast and croissants and doughnuts to a full cooked breakfast.
Our room was fantastic with a view of the mill from bedroom window, bathroom was great for me being disabled, being able to walk in to a wet room was a huge bonus, not available at most hotels."
"Nice hotel, nice staff very good fitness centre. The only thing that lets this hotel down is that hotel guest must pay to use the sauna.
I feel very sorry for the employees on Spa reception, it must get very annoying having the same conversation with hotel guests"
"Checking in was straightforward and welcoming, receptionists were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, fresh and airy. Great facilities and the food was excellent."
