"The staff were friendly on arrival and willing to help with queries . The room was stifling hot the window wouldn’t stay open to its intended maximum opening and the fan was pretty useless . The room was small, and bathroom Internal so that was unbearably hot . We went to use the pool after checking opening times to be told no one could use it as there was glass in it . Breakfast was ok ."

"After booking we heard the hotel was closing down and you can see why The location is great but the hotel is very worn out and in desperate need of update Staff, however, were lovely."

"Excellent breakfast. Good location for a short stroll into Chester centre. BUT too noisy. At side of a busy railway line, lots of other noises from racecourse equipment. Had to keep windows open to keep cool but then couldn’t sleep because of noise."
