"Great location, great hospitality and great amenities. The rooms look newer than the pics and the Gym is larger too (Has a Stepper, multiple treadmills, multiple freeweights, bench press, 2 cable machines, a smith machine, an enitre gym). Would come to Shanghai just to be here. "

"Expected 5 Star Hyatt with upgraded pearl Tower view room to have a Microwave and a coffee maker but there was none - very surpised such basic ammenities are in every 3 star motel in canada. The safety box was at the the lowest possible cabinet in washroom, you would have to sit on the floor of washroom to access that. View was excellent as expected and staff was fine, but a hotel of this stature should have basic ammenities. I don't think will be staying here again. "

"Stayed at Holiday Inn Shanghai Nanjing Road via Hotels.com and experienced a shocking safety and security failure. Hotel staff wrongly checked out an occupied room without consent, removed the guest’s belongings, and reassigned the room to other guests while the stay was still active. The guest returned late at night in a foreign city to find strangers in her room and her possessions gone. This represents a serious breach of guest safety, property security, and basic hotel duty of care. Management offered only token gestures instead of meaningful accountability or compensation, and failed to provide an adequate explanation of how such a severe incident was allowed to happen. Completely unacceptable handling of a deeply distressing situation."

"Hotel was decent, nothing special. Breakfast was ok - not fresh for sure. I was there for 1 week and it was the same everyday, I could tell it wasn't fresh. Only fresh thing was the guy making egg omelette. Surprisingly hardly anybody at the hotel spoke English. Very difficult to communicate, I didn't expect it as you would expect a high end hotel to. I personally wouldn't pay all that money to come here again, would rather pay less/half and go elsewhere. It was my 1st time in China/Shanghai. If I had of known it would be been like that then I would have rather stayed elsewhere and saved some money. As I've mentioned it wasn't anything special."

"During my 5-day trip to Shanghai, my only regret was staying at The Shanghai EDITION for just the final night due to my travel itinerary. Even though I arrived much earlier than expected and requested a check-in, the staff graciously assisted me with an early check-in. The service mind of the staff, the sophisticated atmosphere of the hotel, and its prime location were all absolutely superb."
