Decent place but needs ramping up

Pros: 1. Proximity to airport, literally 5 mins away. 2. Breakfast is simple but wholesome. Cons: 1. The place is still pretty new and some part of it feel as if they have been recently completed (e.g. plastic cover on bathroom fittings) 2. Not all the kinks have been worked out (there seems to be some problem with the back-up power reaching all rooms). 3. Pest control needs to be ramped up. Recommendation: For travelers on a budget and just need a bed to crash.

Convenient and comfortable

This location was very convenient to the airport, only a 10 to 15 minute drive through Chennai traffic. I think that this was one of the biggest positives for this hotel. Our check-in experience was pretty smooth. Cleanliness was rated a 4 mainly because we had found some items from previous guests in our room as soon as we entered. However, this was immediately addressed by the staff at the hotel and they were accommodating and friendly. The hotel has a connected restaurant on the bottom floor, Golcondas Chef which has a variety of North and South Indian food dishes. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food. They also serve breakfast in the morning (included in the hotel stay). The breakfast itself was amazing - idly, poori masala, vada, gulab jamun, chutney, sambar and a drink. Items were brought hot and fresh from the kitchen. Overall, I would recommend this place and may return again in the future.

1. New property and all were in great condition. 2. The staff were very approachable and friendly 3. They should think about having the USB ports in the room for charging, the devices. They have thought through all the options and missed the USB ports for the rooms 4. Orbitz mentioned that the breakfast as an included option, but apparently you need to select a package for free breakfast. So if you are new to India hotels bookings like me, please watch out for what is available in ameneties vs what is available for your room selection.

The manager in the hotel do not know how to treat guest. For a four occupancy hotel he gave only two towels. These towels are dirty, rough like rugs. We requested four towels for next day early check out around 5 am to catch flight. Manager hasn’t considered our request mentioned about their house keeping operates only after 9 am.

At 5am the mosque nearby plays loud chanting / prayers thru the loudspeakers and ended up waking up when wanted to sleep. Breakfast was cold and probably was old, ended up having an upset stomach later in the morning

If you are from the US, stay away. The service is terrible. No hot water. It took me more than two hours to get a bottle of water!! The restaurant is very poor and the front desk is a joke. Stay away!!!

Insect problems

Booked for one night as it was close to the airport. Given 2 rooms on the ground floor, which appeared clean initially, but there was an insect problem. Many ants present, and they converged on any food items, also spotted a few on the bed. Room had A/C, but the bathroom has an open window vent at a higher level that could not be closed - therefore plenty of access for mosquitos, and we were bitten heavily that one night. Insects aside, this would have been fine.

The stay was extremely disappointing. A power outage occurred in the middle of the night, leaving us without a fan or AC. Additionally, there was no water in the toilet, and no staff were available to resolve the issue. No one was available at the reception. We had no choice but to pack our luggage using only the light from a mobile phone and leave the hotel in frustration. Given the complete lack of service, a full refund is expected.

The room was spacious however the room was not fully cleaned and was infested with ants. We asked for the ant issue to be sorted , after some reluctance the cleaner swept the floor. We had to ask for bug spray to be sprayed in the room. The cleaner sprayed about 4 sprays in random areas of the room and deemed the sufficient. Later that night the ants had returned in greater numbers. My shoe was a worthy weapon to deal with the infestation. The reception staff that’s the audacity to ask for a 5 star rating. Very disappointing.

Ils ne nous ont pas donné la chambre premium réservée. On a eu une chambre horrible, toute petite avec une fenêtre donnant sur l'escalier, pas d'air, la lumière de l'escalier et le bruit d'annonce d'étage de l'ascenseur. Draps pas très propres et taies d'oreiller dégueulasses. En plus pas de serviettes de toilette, j'ai dû les réclamer.
