"Hotel and room were beautiful. Check-in clerk was friendly and welcoming. Location was completely charming, and the breakfast was very good. We were in suite 7, and therein lies the problem. An hour after checking in and prior to leaving for dinner we discovered our TV didn’t work. We mentioned it to the clerk who said she would have a look while we were out to dinner if that was OK with us. We gratefully agreed and left for dinner. "A thoroughly enjoyable stay. We were in room 3 which had a challenging set of stairs, no lift due to nature of the historic building. Very atmospheric place bang in the middle of the town great access on foot to all amenities. A 10 minute stroll to the Castle and the excellent car park. Breakfast was first class value. "The room was clean and the location convenient but it was difficult to find initially. There was no soap in the room or enough toilet roll so it would have been good to have been warned that I would need these. The shower head was broken. There was a kitchenette but an incomplete set of cutlery and limited crockery. At the cost of the room though I would have expected these things to be provided."

"Fairfield house was well situated close to Warkworth and the beach. The hosts were excellent, very attentive with lovely little touches like freshly made cakes left each day and nothing was too much trouble. Fabulous breakfasts. Highly recommend."
