"We liked being in downtown Charleston and the hotel’s historic charm. The rooms were nice and the hotel offered early check in early which was great. I did not like having a rooftop bar 1/2 block away. We were able to sleep, however you could still hear the music from the 6th floor. I also would have liked for the hotel to have a pool or outdoor area. Regardless, if you’re wanting to stay in the downtown area, it’s a great option, very central and close to restaurants, stores and bars."

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Ryder Hotel! The location is fantastic and perfect for exploring Charleston, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The amenities were also great and the overall atmosphere was fun and welcoming. That said, our room was very small, and being located directly next to the elevator made it a bit less comfortable than we would have liked.
