The parking isn't free. There's a garage that cost $40+ day that you use. The location is absolutely perfect. An easy walk to the Pineapple Fountain (maybe 1 mile?) and the free shuttle picks up across the street. I'm so glad we chose this hotel for half the price instead of one nearer the city center. The breakfast was exactly what you'd expect at any Hampton Inn... totally fine, but not luxurious. There is ample space in the dining room. The location is great, very near King Street, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. If we were visiting Charleston again, we'd definitely choose this hotel again.

The location of the Hampton Inn is fantastic. About a 20 min walk to downtown and 10-15 minutes in any direction gets you plenty of restaurants. The hotel is right across from the main pick-up stop for the free shuttle that takes you to all the main places. The breakfast was ok. Normal hotel fare. The staff, especially the front desk were top notch! Very helpful and kind. Our room had an issue with getting the AC to run correctly. We froze a lot! We reported it and they sent someone in but it didn’t really work right.
