The staff was more than accommodating, very close to everything, from dining to convenience stores. I will definitely be choosing them for my next stay in crete
Great stay! The room was spacious and comfortable. The balcony was spacious. It was a short walk to the port. There is an open market in front of the hotels on Saturdays, where I purchased some Greek honey and lotions. Overall, a great experience in a beautiful town!
Great communication with owner. Was easy to extend our stay. Clean, comfy, quiet and easy access to the bay. Very nice room.

Great location and beautiful room. Unfortunately the municipality shot off the water in the morning thus making it difficult for morning cleanup. But must say our host where great and delivered water to room! All good!
Very convenient to sites. Service was very good. Staff very helpful for food, sites. Walkable. No elevator. We had an inside room, which meant it was very quiet. But the hall light was on all the time and the curtain was not a black out. Bathroom was very large with nice stand to hold toiletries. Could use an additional hook in the bathroom for more than one towel.
Amazing. We stayed on the top floor, the room was excellent, the patio was huge, we had a sofa, table, sun umbrella, clothes rack and a great ocean view. Complimentary drinks and snacks and water. The owner was friendly, carried our luggage up the day we left the street had a market so he not only called us a taxi but carried the luggage to an awaiting taxi and gave directions for us, very helpful, friendly, clean, just awesome.
Rooms with no windows and construction in progress
Waking up, at 6 o -clock in the morning by the sound of construction inside for the house. Would like to open a window, but we couldn't - cause there is no one... Rubbish.
Excellent stay! Location, location, location. NOT quite a hotel, but rather an apartment building (5 apts) with a front desk next door, so be aware not to expect anything different. However, AMAZING tips were given for restaurants, beaches, places to go, when to visit, etc - thanks a LOT, Stelios! Don't miss out. He even gave tips on where to park the car - GREAT "added value" indeed in every tip for foreigners, even those who researched a lot about Chania (some things you can only know "being a local"...).
Apartment n.4 was quite large with a huge balcony. Good bed, linen and bathroom, overall everything good. Shower was kind of broken (but not a big deal), fridge not quite large, but everything was always quite enough.
That being said, it's undeniable that the neighborhood is definitely worth it - we were seriously considering staying at a 1-2 mile radius from there (5min car ride or so), but at Minoos Hotel (at Minoos Street) you can definitely walk EVERYWHERE at night in the Old Town- DEFINITELY worth it. During daytime, the car is essential, but staying here will make you relax at night and walk up to 10min basically anywhere in the Old Town Chania without having any trouble worrying about parking your car this end of the city (it gets really complicated, trust me...). Don't miss out one of the BEST locations in town and some of the best tips for everything (restaurants, beaches, when to go to them and what to expect, among several others). Definitely recommend it!
This is a lovely little apart hotel right in the centre of Chania old town just 2 mins from Chania harbour - fabulous. Yiannis the hotel manager is a really nice guy most helpful and accommodating
highly recommended
We stayed in Chania for 4 days and this hotel was perfectly located in the city centre. 5 minute walk or less to get to the port and the restaurants and old town. We walked everywhere very close to old town and new town. Reatauranta. Bars. Shopping. Excellent location.
We drove during the day to get to the beach or our excursions but walked every evening to the city centre.
Was concerned about parking but parking was always available on our steeet - both sides of the road! Bonus!
accommodations were great. Queen bed! Rain shower! Regular BIG hairdryer! Regular BIG Iron! Snacks in room - water, crackers, etc and in common area as well. Free wifi. Only thing that needs improvement - the foam pillows were very hard!
Owner was an awesome guy Stelio’s and gave us great recommendations during our stay. recommemded some excellent estaurants, bars and beaches to visit!
His recommendations did not disappoint.
Highly recommend this hotel.

Fire Trap
This place is a fire trap. My room was 35 steps up with no windows, no fire escape , no alarms, no evacuation routing, no plan.
In addition, only exit from guest rooms was down said 35 steps in a 1 metre wide stairs well, to a single door opening onto the street and operated / activated by an electric.
In the event of fire and electricity failure, the door can not be opened. All accupants are trapped.
Last week fires around Athens killed numerous people. This is potentially similarly bad.
I booked this on the Wotif platform. If you take no action on this, you vocariosly liable.
The rooms at this hotel are like small luxury apartments, with beautiful decor, nice furniture, good air conditioning, and good wifi. The couple who own and operate the place are very nice and helpful, and there are many good restaurants and shops nearby. On Saturdays the entire street becomes an outdoor market, which is a great place to try some local produce. The only drawbacks of this hotel is the lack of an elevator/lift, since some of the rooms are several floors up, and there is no staffed front desk, since it is just the couple who run it - but they are quick to respond to emails or calls and were very helpful.
We stayed at the Minoos in June, luckily only for one night. I booked it on short notice and chose it because the photos looked very nice and it is located very close to the harbour and old town. When we artived we were greeted nicely, but no one even wanted to see an ID? The room in itself is nicely furnished and has AC. However, there is no window to the outside! There is one window to the stairwell, so you have to permanently keep the blinds closed, or the other guests get a nice view into your room. For one night that would have been somewhat fine as well. The biggest problem was the bathroom. It looks nice, like it was recently renovated. But there was an unbelievable stench in there. It was so bad that my partner and me nearly threw up when we had to brush our teeth in the morning. Would definitely not recommend! Maybe the other rooms are nicer though...
