Was not able to contact host since morning of check in to access property would not answer telephone nor messages through Expedia or WhatsApp to give us access to property. I went to property and no one was there either. Contact Expedia and they could not reach owners either. I had booked property 3 days before and was non-Refundable After placing complaint with Expedia owners told them they had tried to call me and I did not answer which was false. Why would t they answer messages through Expedia platform where I paid them through. They should have sent check In instructions like all my other reservation hosts did. It was a scam. They took our money and did not deliver on promised accommodations. We ended up being 3 women with nowhere to stay for 4 nights and had to start driving around looking for a place. Luckily not everyone In Chania is dishonest. I would definitely not book this place. Unit was full of cameras so they know we were there trying to get in but did not answer any form of communication especially through the Expedia app. Other places there in Chania said they were probably a “ghost” listing. AVOID this listing. Expedia tried to assist me but in the long run all they were was a go between and did nothing to get out money back because it was a non refundable listing. I didn’t choose not to stay there, they didn’t deliver what we paid for. Avoid at all costs unless you also want to get scammed
