No Air Conditioning

Immediately after noticing that there was no working air conditioning in my room I went back to the front desk in hope for a solution. I was told that there was not another room available for me that had air conditioning and that this was my only option. I requested for a cancellation but my request was refused. This was the worst hotel experience I have ever come across and would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Flott beliggenhet sentralt i byen. Hotellet har egne parkeringsplasser. De som driver hotellet er overraskende originale, hyggelige, profesjonelle og imøtekommende. Rommet var rent og godt utstyrt. Balkongen og utsikten var fantastisk.

Besviken!!

Jag var väldigt missnöjd med vistelsen på denna hotell eftersom AC funkade inte i det 34 graders värme. Wifin funkade inte på hotellet. Det var fullt med katter och servicen var väldigt dåligt. på nätterna kunde man inte sova på grund av att man hörde alla som gick runt för det var så pass gammalt hotell. Jag började få allergichock av katterna där. De som jobbade där var två mycket gamla tanter som inte kunde engelska. Jag fick ringa tre gånger till hotels.com för att byta hotell men fick inga lediga då.

Posizione eccezionale, ma solo quella...

L'hotel si trova nel centro storico di Chania e dal balcone della camera (camera vista mare) abbiamo goduto di una splendida vista sul porto vecchio. Ma praticamente abbiamo soggiornato quasi sempre sul balcone: il resto è terribile. Entrando nell'hotel sembra di fare un salto nel passato, direttamente al periodo post-guerra, reception inesistente (lasciano le chiavi delle camere bene in vista, senza alcun controllo su chi entra e chi esce), nella hall forte odore di urina di gatto. La struttura è mal tenuta, gli arredi sono molto più che spartani, impianti quasi artistici da quanto mal fatti. Bagno inaccettabilmente piccolo, con mini lavandino con rubinetto da cucina, quasi inutilizzabile senza bagnarsi completamente, doccia senza box né tenda, con rubinetto da vasca. Prezzi eccessivamente alti per una cosa del genere. Se proprio, come noi, non trovaste altro, consiglio almeno di prendere la stanza vista mare.

Awful hotel, overpriced, bad staff attitude

We didn't stay at this hotel because the owner canceled the rooms that we booked without notifying us. When we arrived at the hotel she just told that she gave the rooms to someone else and she closed the door without explaining further the situation. We insisted knocking the door but she didn't even answer. We couldn't find anything else to stay, everything was booked. We went to the police to ask for help. When we told to the policeman that we booked this awful hotel for 100 per night they were laughing... Anyway we ended up staying at friends houses and we had a good time. But if we didn't know anyone at Chania we would have nowhere to go...

The worst hotel!.Suitable only for animals!

The hotel confirmed my room and when I got there, the receptionist told me that they have no room for me. Except that they talked to me like I come from another world...the world from the animals.I called the Greek tourist police of the Chania town and they tried to help me in the best way, but I don't know if there is going to help the hotel owners to change something, because of their older (nay be near 80 years old...who knows) they come from at least 200 hundred years before...their behavior was awful...If it was the first time I use the HOTELS.com I would never book room via this homepage. I use HOTELS.com since many years and it's difficult to me to understand how such a high quality company like HOTELS.com can include hotels like that. May be it can be suggested for animal hotels!

Elendig standard men bra beliggenhet

Bra beliggenhet i gammle byen i Chania. Ble veldig skuffet etter hadde sett bilder på nettet og komm til Hotellet. Har sett bedre standard av feks badet på bensinstasjoner! Ikke var det mulig å spise på hotellet selv om det var en spiserom der. Så på slutten av oppholdet noen som fikk mat, men det var greeker. Vi spurte ved ankomst og fikk da nei. Det jobbet 2 personer der. en rengjøring og en i resepsjon. Begge snakket nesten ikke engelsk. Ved problemer måtte man ta det over tlf med en eller annen som kunne engelsk. Hadde egentlig mest lyst til å bytte hotellet ! Men skal man dit for kun 1 overnatting går det sikkert an å bruke dette hotellet. Men det finnes flere i området.

One star is generous

The hotel is located in a side street & overlooks Chania's historic harbor. Views are magnificent. However, the room itself was shabby and the bathroom primitive to say the least. The shower was a plastic pan in the floor with a spray nozzle on the faucet - no way to take a stand up shower (no curtain) - you had to sit on a plastic stool & do your best. Americans will not be as familiar with this as Europeans, but even by Euro standards it was bad. Breakfast is overpriced and not until 8:00, too late for working guests or for those out sightseeing. My recommendation for food is that, you can get better at any of several nearby restaurants for less just steps from the hotel. The ladies who run the place are very nice, but nice can only go so far.

Dette hotel kan ikke anbefales. 4.5 i gennemsnit er helt væk. Receptionist som ikke taler engelsk, en ejer som sidder inde i et bagvedliggende lokale som man skal tale med over telefonen og hvor man kan høre hende gennem væggen. Ikke styr på betaling med kreditkort og generelt bare top uprofessionelt og en joke. Det eneste positive er udsigt og hvis man vil bo centralt i turist mekka aka Chania downtown.

Skal du til Kreta og bo i byen Chania er dette hotellet for deg. Hvilken beliggenhet og hvilken utsikt fra terrassen på rom 105, full utsikt over hele havnen. Om kvelden er det ofte konsert på plassen nedenfor - og du har virkelig orkesterplass. Hotellet er i litt gammel stil, men personalet er meget hyggelige - to søstre tar virkelig vare på deg. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake!

Meget venlige og imødekommende indehavere.

Det kan godt være lidt vanskeligt at finde frem til hotellet,men når man først er der,er det det hele værd. Hotellet er af ældre dato,men fremstår indvendigt rent og velholdt.Værelse 105 og 106 kan anbefales,så har man den mest fantastiske terrasse med udsigt over havnen i Chania.

Beliggenheten er kjempefin hvis du vil bo i sentrum rett ved den gamle havnen. Noe kronglete å finne den lille gaten i kretisk mørke, Noe gammelmodig rom, men gode senger.
